niggles Posted January 20, 2012 (edited) --EDIT-- the post has now changed. Please feel free to post your own creepies and crawlies for our viewing pleasure. Seen some interesting crawlies in the garden this year and been much more camera happy. Maybe someone else will also derive pleasure from them,. woof woof woof Posted January 22, 2012 cool niggels. is the bottow one a stink bug? Strange man,... I live half a world away and the insects look so simmilar to the ones we have here in the Southern Caribbean.
ThunderIdeal Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) the second bug looks like it might be an assassin bug (beneficial insect) but we have different ones up here and the photos don't really display the distinctive outline of an assassin bug. i thought it had a wicked proboscis but that is actually an antenna if it is an assassin bug the proboscis would be folded underneath. I live half a world away and the insects look so simmilar to the ones we have here in the Southern Caribbean. My brain says stink bug when I see them, but I am not sure if it is one or not.. I never bothered to check.... --edit-- err.. not the green one.. i was talking about the one second from the top. orange and black one. Amazonian Posted January 30, 2012 The latest pics are of a Lacewing. Those guys have weird eggs hey. They lay the egg on the end of what appears to be a small length of hair . This is to keep things like ants from taking the egg. Another of natures great designs.

Psylo Posted February 8, 2012 Here's a little fellow that I shot about eight days ago. ID on the insect and the succulent is welcome. Hey, let's sidetrack this thread a bit, in the hope that more people show their shots. What the hell, a little community mini-comp. A pop-quiz ! The first person to positively identify the insect will be posted a rooted strike of the succulent in the following photo.
