What did you do to your cacti today?

Nah I think this one comes from far away. The culprit belonged to a lady on top floor, so the closest thing to a ground it found were my pots.

potted a couple of the OZ cuzco-crest clone which seems be misspassing as a peruvian, lately, no need to do the mistakes the US scene did in the 90s

also watered the newly rooted 2x bridgesii crests and 2x strange pachanoid/peruvian, also from oz ....

I know I am a propagation freek, but I think that over propagation, especially from smaller cuttings is essential to knowing a monster phenotype - or maybe it gets you a certain knowledge, not allowing you to see how it would evolve, which is something I am trying to do (pachanoi crest is ideal for mealies and whatnot nests, especially in large plants, which are very curly and compress... ) and i hope I can see some flowers on crest/monsters pachanoi mother plants ...

I dont entirely share the view of zelly for "trichocerei that go into the ground" - trichocerei can be very happy in pots too...

for what its worth two more ozzie strains will be grown in my place... we will see if they are "peruvianus", even though its pretty obvious to be one of the strains is cuzcoid...

I am thrilled, since i have been growing 2 strainsof pachanoi monster, one faster than the other, extensively - now I got 2 more tricho monster strains.....

Collected some pollen with a q-tip. Then took off anthers with a forceps, as zelly advised.

Will store them and use them when any of my others flower. Let's see how it'll go.

I've been doing lots in the garden over the last little while. Getting prepped and ready for spring proper to hit. So here's just a little taste of some of it. Way too many things been going on to post about all of them!:innocent_n:

Have potted up many, many cuts over the last few weeks. Have bought more seedlings and cuts than I really planned to, (I can't help myself). Have also done numerous trades to increase the diversity in my collection too.

Have been sowing seeds under lights and have many more yet to get on still!

Have gotten a bunch of PC pach ready to graft onto, reckon I have well over 35 tips either rooted and ready or currently rooting for late spring grafts.

Some of the PC ready for grafting

Got a new "werdermannianus" that originates from the ABG a couple of weeks ago, (which is really a taquimbalensis), since these pics it's been potted up to a very large container.

And have taken a few pics lately too.

Pachanoi X Bridgesii

A seed grown bridgesii that has consistent double spines and is always very round with next to no rib-valleys.

Some crests after their first watering for the year, (will probably be cutting some of these ones to go on the PC graft stock along with tricho seedlings and some lophs)
