What did you do to your cacti today?

looks a bit on the bridgesii side to me mate , beautiful pics man!

Cheers for the help with the ID, the little clusters of shorter spines had me confused.

Something I learned today is that you never truly realise how bad your cactus hoarding tendencies have gotten until you need to move house... This is the first load, the rest will need a trailer.

-Why are my plants in your car?

- We were just wondering if they're for sale.

Caught some thieves today. It's been going on for four years now and just hoping this was the same one and the end of it. Relieved in that sense but really not at all as satisfying as I imagined, about a million questions racing through my head all of which can be summed up by three words; what the fuck!

It's almost funny to hear the excuses when you catch them red handed.

I caught a kid trying to steal my car one day, just sitting in the drivers seat. I asked him what he was doing and be said "I thought it was my car". He was about 14 by the look of him.

The kid that picked up the plants would've been in her teens too and I had never seen her before but I followed her to the car and the driver was an old lady from my building who's known me for years and always stops for a chat and talks about how much she appreciates the plants and all that. It had its funny moments but really just too unsettling the whole thing.

just saw a tray full of saguaro seedlings basically melted overnight

i had them in normal trich mix which is more organic because i think they like it

so now i have to start again but this time they go in sand until old enough to transplant

That's fkd man, I can't even imagine how awkward that lady will be feeling any time she sees you now. Not only that, but the fact that it was pre-meditated theft and she had convinced a child to be her "jail cover" so that she could try and sneak around any potential confrontation. I'm glad the whole thing blew up in her face, but I'm more sorry to hear of the trouble you're having to endure with ongoing thievery. Have you considered fake or real cameras as a deterrent?

Did you follow her home and have a look for your missing plants?

Pretty messed up old lady to be wringing in a runner... I hope she falls and breaks a hip before she takes anything from anyone else...

Nah she was parked a bit further from the entrance and I managed to catch them just before she'd close the door. Didn't make big deal out of it, I reckon I was more shocked at that moment than they were. The woman didn't say a word herself the whole time and as I was walking away, she kept yelling that the girl now wants to apologise, but honestly who's the one who's messed up here? The kid wouldn't have even known these plants existed if not for this woman bringing her over and instructing her how to get to them. I remember her mentioning a while back that she's a nanny, and I imagine these were probably the kids (another boy in the car). Either way these were somebody else's kids and you'd have to wonder how the parents would feel if they found out which they probably will if either of them says anything or if they didn't keep their cool when they got home.

sat in amates garden and watched him repot 20 os so fatties while hoofing dimsum. Real juicy dimmis

You Se~nor.........is an absolute gentleman.

Many here sound like they'd get the lynch mob ready for a lynch'n but you have been able to surmise and execute a beautiful mental plan through to fruition.

Not only did you shame her( i mean hows she going to look you in the eye after this?) but you also kept your cool man.

Respect.

Having ANYTHING stolen from your person or your abode is like being raped. by someone you DON'T like...(take it easy man them just words imma spoutin')

such an infringement of your personal space is hard to reconcile.

I hope they were the thieving cnuts that have being perpetuating heinous crimes against you and your loved ones S~enor.

Makes me think about my relllies o/s that stake giant nails through their plants to atleast make the thieving cnuts remember you.

But cactoose is different than that. I'd reckon they be sentient and would have somehow given but enough mojo that eventually  their thievin be found out and eventually you caught them - maybe this was the culmination of a series of bad fortune for the old bat(;p dood)

Onwards we go buddy, head held up high, i just hope the blue rinser gets no satisfaction.

..........meh did i say the dimsum was good.

:)

went to visit some unattained cacti of mine and they looked like they loved the automn cool.

Ι saw two fruits forming on a Scopulicola spineless and one on TIG bridgesii (fat and strong growing ozzie bridgesii) , this is propably the cross that was done, since no other trich was flowering.. Well I saw a small harissia (jusberti) with a fruit, but harissia often selfpolinates and fruits, also the harissia seemed like a more recent event.

I saw a lopho graft that is starting to dichotomise, first time I seed this in a non caespitosa strain or even more, in such a wide head.

saved a small head from a rotted caespitosa lopho, and took several astro myrio with me to transplant to bigger pots
