Wocket Posted March 13, 2016 That's a good idea. So.... if anyone in the US has some pollen they would like to share/trade for the resulting seed, I would appreciate it. It's my only tricho with curved spines and I'd like to cross it.

Spanishfly Posted March 19, 2016 (edited) Now my guys have been taken out of their winter quarters I have repotted a couple. Not actually cacti, but I repotted my Lithops verruculosa and L. hookeri. L. verruculosa has formed a rather interesting clump - structure rather like a head of broccoli. Edited March 19, 2016 by Spanishfly

☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted March 20, 2016 (edited) had some surprise sunday post !!! that never usually happens ever ever ever ... - not even santa delivers on a sunday ... had just rooted the last cactopode from that SABber must be a good omen anyhoo unveiled this absolutely stunning lima flowers market pach.. and applied sulphur well- to counteract the very slight mold at the base - probably from rushing to accommodate my urgency seeing as i'ze about to move house .. and is no probs and an icaro peruvi out of kindness and a sexy Bolivian terscheckii that i think looks like 2 Argentine DJF 468 valle elqui terscheckii' that I got once before from uk's oldest cactery ... I had bought the last 2 from abbey brook so it's nice to have another samey looker for more gene pool in the flowery future cuz the original intention was to have 4 specimens .. but 3 trichocereus is always better than 2 ! ...and Bolivia is my fave country so fk you to all the other countries :D :D :D :D only joking lol :3 love all countries cept holland x] sorry, joking again .. couldn't help self.. maybe the next cacticles i get should be from the lands of the nether.. anyhow .. figured I'd try and see just how far this condensing can go :3 Edited March 20, 2016 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ
☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted March 21, 2016 (edited) got some dutch cacticles from plaza to make up for joking about ystd :3 .. and beauties they are too i learned the pachanoi was a lima from a good friend .. and decided to name the others after getting no reply from cactus plaza and I had asked twice... so.... peruvianus can be .. "Plazma" ... or perhaps Big Lez ! ... and bridgesii can be "Plazbo" Edited March 24, 2016 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ

wert Posted March 28, 2016 (edited) Went to bunnings for soil. Sat down with my eldest daugher (3) and potted up her first cactus with her. Planted the melted wax in its pot with fertilizer then washed our hands and went on an adventure together just the 2 of us down to the $2 shop. We got some multi coloured stones a butterfly and a turtle (she took of with mr turtle lol). Wrote her up a plant tag and put the pot on the front verandah. She loves it and really enjoyed the whole process probably half as much as I did. It was my favorite cactus planting to date. I really love sharing new things with her. I really love her!!! SJack Posted March 29, 2016 My first cacti grafts worked. Pretty happy with that. Thanks Wert. One looks like its flowering and the other multiplying after twoish months. What did i do today. Looked at them and smiled.
☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted March 29, 2016 got a reply from plaza to say they're not clones as such .. just seed grown so after all i've named in my mind the pachanoi 'lima plaza' , the peruvianus 'big lez' and the bridgesii settled as plazma (but not written the labels out yet) :
Huachu Ma Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) The pachanoi is never a seedgrowen one. Look how thick this plant is. I know a few shops who selling this clone and one of all very good. He bought his plants from the importer. This pach came strait from a nursery in lima. KK ;-) Regards Edited March 29, 2016 by huachuma
☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ Posted March 29, 2016 (edited) then it shall continue to be lima ..minus the plaza thank you maybe i can keep the name big lez so far for the peruvi :3, that would be sweet .. maybe an upgrade on the bridggy from plazma to plazmatron :3 or plaztardo n plazbo for short ... from plazmania or from plaz-to-seen cant wait to find one to call dark horse from taquimbohemia just so i know who's who maybe the remaining above 2 .. already have names and off i'd better trot to school and then with my intrepid warriors ... go grab some new keys for 22 acacia avenue (unless i think of a better name) Edited March 29, 2016 by ☽Ţ ҉ĥϋηϠ₡яღ☯ॐ€ðяئॐ♡Pϟiℓℴϟℴ
