So...

Are there plants established in australia yet?

I would be interested in sourcing fresh seed or live plants within australia for growth in northern climes. Particularly

A.peregrina but A colubrina will do.

(i dont expect success but you have to ask wink.gif

Yes, Fruitspirit has 2 trees, but they are not seeding and don't strike from cuttings.

I have about 6 or 7 colubrinas, with new cebil variety seeds just germinating (first one today). I will have plenty of seedlings in a few months.

Where do you want to grow them?? I won't sell anymore seed cos no one seems to be able to germinate them properly. I have a really good success rate and will just sell plants once they are established.

Geez have I got some collecting to do for you two!! wink.gif You have both been extremely helpful. My driving test is on Monday so fingers crossed i won't do anything silly to fail it. Then... Atherton Tablelands and BEYOND...

With a bit of luck this will become a regular item in our list.

I find a car and spare time to be the essential ingredients for sourcing australian plants. Good luck with the test.

Coarse sharp sand, hot days, minimal watering.

I also give the seeds a quick wash in diluted bleach and lots of rinses.

I have germinated them up to 8 month after I received them. However success is very low then. There seems to be a distinct drop-off at about 3 months.
