2012: Time For Change Documentary Screening in Australia

Premiere Australian Documentary Screening & Panels - Tuesday 15th March Melbourne & Thursday 17th March Byron Bay

Undergrowth.org is pleased to announce the first Australian public screenings of the documentary 2012: Time for Change.

In this time of rapid ecological, economic and consciousness change-before-our-eyes, it is more important than ever to have a positive vision of the future, a roadmap that shows us how things really are, and guides us towards where we want to be.

“2012: Time for Change” presents an optimistic alternative to apocalyptic doom and gloom. Directed by Emmy Award nominee Joao Amorim, the film follows journalist Daniel Pinchbeck, author of the bestselling 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, on a quest for a new paradigm that integrates the archaic wisdom of tribal cultures with the scientific method. As conscious agents of evolutions, we can redesign post-industrial society on ecological principles to make a world that works for all. Rather than breakdown and barbarism, 2012 heralds the birth of a regenerative planetary culture where collaboration replaces competition, where exploration of psyche and spirit becomes the new cutting edge, replacing the sterile materialism that has pushed our world to the brink.

Featuring: Daniel Pinchbeck, Sting, David Lynch, Ellen Page, Gilberto Gil, Paul Stamets, Shiva Rea, Tiokasin Ghosthorse, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Ganga White, Terence and Dennis McKenna, Buckminster Fuller and many more!

* As well as the documentary film the screenings will feature the critically acclaimed animated short 'Coalition of the Willing', a collaborative animated film and web-based event about an online war against global warming in a 'post Copenhagen' world, directed and produced by Knife Party, written by Tim Rayner and crafted by a network of 24 artists from around the world using varied and eclectic film making techniques.

* A one-hour panel discussion with experts on fields ranging from ecological design, permaculture, consciousness, mayan studies and new paradigm solutions will share their knowledge at these exclusive Australian screenings, which are intended as community springboards to talk about the issues involved at this crucial juncture in history and forge new ideas and solutions. All ages from 15+ are invited to attend and have their voice heard.
