Green Chemist Posted August 31, 2010 Hi all. Years ago there was a great series of survival book called the Bushcraft series. I have a couple of the books, namely the firmaking ones and the trapping one. I did a search to see if I could get the rest of the series, in particular the huts and thatching and rope making. I am inspired after watching a few of ray mears videos. anyway I see the books are no longer in print. But some kind soul has copied these out of print books and placed them on the web. Here is the weblink to get access to them: http://chrismolloy.com/www/p131 Hope you enjoy them. Green Chemist
bℓσωηG Posted September 5, 2010 Thanks for the link it may come in handy one day ...if a food shortage does arise im not going to be hand fed GMO vaccinated products from eugenicists disguised as an ''aid agency'' lol. I had recently bought some rabbiting nets off ebay so i can take my ferrets to hunt the suckers . We have been twice so far, caught one but it got itself free (big fokin rabbit!). I am still working out how to lay nets properly but finding fresh inhabited warrens seems to be the hardest part.. heres a link for using ferrets for hunting rabbits. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ferreter/working1.htm
Magicdirt Posted September 7, 2010 Thanks for that. I've looked in bookshops for years and never seen anything like that. They are only small files so I saved all of them.

gecko Posted September 16, 2010 Thanks for that. survival skills has been a bit of an interest of mine since i was a little kid. I had seen a few of the individual books many years ago, but never the whole set. then I found a copy of the compilation of them in the one book. I grabed it of course, that was about 1984 and it looked like an old book then. My 5yo son is right into it now with the above mentioned book and the pocket SAS survival manual other interesting info can be found in the 'Bushcraft' series by Ron Edwards Ramskull Press i think also, a couple of great sources you might really enjoy: PaleoPlanet Forum and Primitive Ways
