Amanita Muscaria?

Question

Hey all,

Found this today while working in Katoomba area - was doing some work at a nursery which rescues native plants and as I was putting my tools back in the van I spotted these growing from the base of a gumtree of some description. Would I be correct in thinking these are A. Muscaria?

cheers!

Not the best pics for id.

but from what i can tell, looks more like Russula sp. to me

especially with the pink stem, and lack of annulus

Yep,also there should be a bulb at the base of the one that wasn't cut and little spots like ruffled feathers on the cap.

You'll know one when you see one, good to check here first though!
