I mean c'mon, The simpsons!!! It's been translated into over 45 different languages!!! The only reason we wouldnt have it is because we are either 3rd world (and socially oppressed) or we are utterly ignorant of the outside world.. Personally I'm not sure I could've got through some shit in life without a healthy dose of humour; schadenfreude(sp?) particularly. Some shows are fairly puerile, but there are some really clever storylines in others. When i was just having the darkest hours of my life, the simpsons cheered me up to the point where i could laugh at my hopeless situation. With enough humour you can get through everything. I dont like "Family Guy" and "American Dad" tho. I just cant laugh about most jokes in these series. Not because they are too harsh but because they arent funny to me. Especially the one with the open Air bath and the immigrants. I havent laughed once in the whole episode. But there were some pretty good episodes in the 13th season. One of my clients watches the old school 'a country practice' from like 20 years ago everyday. when i do home visits hes usually got it on. lol brings back memorys! used to watch every episode with gran and mum when i was an infant. weird when u see somethin u havent seen since u where 6, its really weird, the amount of memorys that flood back. Good ol' Esme Watson!! horrified at the slightest immorality haha. I always used to get so upset whenever Esme got upset and be so releieved when someone helped or sorted her out! Definately fostered my compassion for elderly ladies, i will ALWAYS go out of my way to help an old bird Bob Hatfield(who ended up a pedo i beleieve?) Cookie, Frank the cop, Fatso the wombat and Doris the pig, but oh man the hottest chick of australian telly EVER was a nurse on there whats here name... Georgie Parker??? shes like 18 and PHWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!! id sell my soul to sniff her knickers fo sho! thats truly gross and disgusting but i just cant help but get a hardon when i see her in her nurse uniform.
