hey all, not long back from 5 months overseas and been checking out my cacti garden, some amazing growth it cool to not see somthing for 6 months then see them again, any how i have a couple of questions, but a few pics first

the one on the right in this pic is not looking the best but not to worried nothing serious

this one was unwell when i was given it, looking better on 2 of the heads now but the other has gone backwards

whats up with this one, was fine when i left and now looks like this, quite confused by this one, has grown heaps but like this??

this was an accident involving a fire staff, very disappointed, 4 ribbed bridgesii, never mind though it lives on

and one more any one know which of the clones the penis plants are.

NICE PLANTS! not bad if you been away 5 months and your in tassie, have not many answers for you tho , but i did notice your stock in pic ,9 and 10 appears to have some scale not sure if this would affect the growth of the scion but it does look light starved....did you have someone look after them all while you were gone?

Is that last one a/sold as "T pachanoi" from capital cactus??? Looks alot like mine and has done exactly the same thing, one of mine swelled and split when i got it in the ground, huge scar on it now.

That's sold as T. pachanoi? It looks like peruvianus x bridgesii to me.

are u growing those lophs in bark? seems a bit suss to me.

the 'unwell' loph u were given, did u repot it when u got it or is that how it came?

Yeh ballzac, they were seedlings sold as Tpach, i guess thats how the seeds were labelled when sold to the grower. Plants are def of a peruvianoid bent.

Awesome plants :)

I think that big cut in the last picture might have been a smaller hole from an insect that got the rain in it and rotted down like that. I've got some huge holes in my trichs that snails started.

Your sick plants look like mite damage that has led to a bacterial infection.
