I love all of the elder scrolls games... or more-so all of the games by bethseda softworks... I didnt look much into alchemy in the game but there are a crapload of different herbs which can be harvested etc. The game is brilliant for the fact you can follow the main quest or join one of many guilds, walk through towns talking to randoms to find out about treasure... Overall a very immersive world i love it... kinda over it now but i play on and off still after having virtually finished all major quest chains.

I can't believe there is a thread about this!

The game "Morrowind" (made just before oblivion) is what got me into alchemy and that is what got me interested in ethnobotany!

The whole reason I'm here is because of that game!

I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW AMAZINGLY AWESOME OF A GAME ELDER SCROLLS ARE!!!

It's seriously like entering another world!

Amanita muscaria is in Oblivion.

I heard in the next Elder Scrolls game you eat different entheogens and get quests from "spirits"!

Fucking awesome!!!!

Just looked it up, the next Elder Scrolls game is set in Skyrim and it should be out 2010-2012.

Did any of y'all play the older Elder Scrolls games Daggerfall and Arena?

Totally bro. I found Oblivion boring boring boring. Fallout to be not much better. Bottle caps are you serious. Wake me up when Assassins Creed 2 is out.

Planescape Tourment.

Need I say more. Best RPG ever made. The only game where it's impossible to play the same path twice. It's an oldie now though.

It's really hard to find but let me know if your interested.

Bottle caps?

Yeah, yeah, now get out of rust city, you and the rangers you marathon'd in on.. :D

Anyone tried 'Borderlands', that looks pretty sweet, I mean any game that has over 200,000 different guns just HAS to be good!

BF:BC2 comes out in the near future that should also be great.

Haven't been able to get into borderlands - it has this stylistic cartoon graphics and I prefer realistic graphics more. Dragon age had potential but the graphics are dated and the dialogue is dull. There is also fable2 if you like the fantasy games and mass effect2 for science fiction. I'm really hoping someone will develop an rpg like GTA4 or even CODmw2 set in a fantasy world. Oblivion despite being released ages ago is still good but it gets boring after a while - lots of dungeons that look the same. I liked baulders gate2 where you had dwarven and elven village. As well as the endless medieval stuff.
