Umbelliferae

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me which of the Mediterranean Umbelliferae has a seed most like a cockroach? If anyone can tell me why I am asking they will earn an awful lot of my respect.

You are trying to create a vegetarian version of an asian fried-cockroach dish?

You are hoping to find a biocontrol for a pest animal in spain that gobbles up cockroaches for food, but is fatally sensitive to the pesticidal compounds in some Umbelliferae?

Cockroach hieroglyphs have been found in some ancient tomb/scroll and you are suggesting that rather than the ancient culture admiring roaches they probably liked to trip off some wild carrot seed oil

I am running out of dumb ideas...

any hints?

due to seeds looking like cockroaches natural selection has favoured cockroaches that like to feed on that specific plant as rate of predation around it decreased.

therefore the plant matter can be used to attract cockroaches towards baits to kill them.

there is my dumb idea
