Thats really awesome man, i was sadly dispointed to find a regularly used NSW spot full of rubbish this weekend. Im pretty sure it wasn't trail bike riders either due to the tripper toys and nangs and such left behind..We did not leave it like that though and cleaned up every bit before we left.

Glad this was bumped. I was gonna go to Royal Doof last year but cbf after i heard it was moved indoors. I finally got to my first over New Years and had a blast. I couldn't believe how awesome it was and how much fun i had. I had an awkward moment when i was walking back to my site for a rest and noticed a girl sqwatting in a depression made by all the 4wds and stuff and said Happy new year to her and was met by a blank stare and silence. It was then i realised she was probably having a leak hahaha.

Well, I recommend you ditch the camping weekend and head to Regrowth instead then FP. It is by far the best doof held in NSW each year, for many reasons, not least their environmental stance, but also the quality of the production is top-notch.

Earth dance was like 8 hours drive for me and 3 day event which I stayed 4 cause I was too tired todrive and needed sl;eep b4 driving.

I reckon WA doofs have gone downhill since then though. Wasnt too keen on the crew a few weeks ago.

There are plenty of High Quality Festivals and Doofs in NSW, you just need to know where to look ;)

Bent Perception this year was a blast. Proper deep forrest goodness. No grassy cow paddocks.

I didn't say there wasn't, although if you consider the likes of Bent Perception to be good, you've not been to many decent parties. Bent Perception was sub par for many reasons, not in the least how they treat the site (i.e. there's no environmental policies in place, nor any indication that they care about how it's treated), it's far too commercialised (what the fuck was the deal with the printed glossy "map" of the area??), it was overpriced and the site, while being in forest, is by far one of the worst forest sites for a doof I've been to. Regrowth may be surrounded by grassy paddocks, but at least they actually do something to try to give back to the site. Being in the bush might be nice, but when it's clear no one actually give a fucks about the bush itself, it's a sad state of affairs.

Edit: To me, the quality of a doof in not only judged by whether the music, production and set up in good, it's also about the general vibe of the party, where it is, how they treat the site, whether it's a purely commercial operation or not (doofs all used to be free once upon a time), whether they do anything beyond making money out of the party, etc.

Bent is commercialised compared to regrowth??

In my opinion nearly every doof crew i know in NSW and im pretty sure i know all of em, do really care about the bush. Sites are cared for with us usually taking home heaps of random campers and trailbike riders rubbish as well as the doof rubbish.

Regrowth aint even really a doof its a festival.

Well obviously Regrowth is commercialised too, but in the right way. It's not just an organisation bent on making money, like the crew that put on Bent Perception seem to be. What does Bent Perception give back to the site they trash each year? Exactly nothing (positive). Honestly, what need is there of a glossy "map" of a tiny bush site? Waste of paper in my opinion. Perhaps they could have spent the money on handing out rubbish bags to encourage people to take their rubbish with them instead.

Edit (to respond to your edit): Well it definitely doesn't come across that way. Very few doofs I have been too (and I've been to quite a number), have shown much care for the sites they use. Some of them obviously care and it's great to see when I see it - they might give out rubbish bags, ask people to take rubbish with them or have dedicated people going around bagging up all the rubbish that disrespectful dickheads leave lying about the place. But most appear not to. Think of how trashy that site up at Sugarloaf got.

Doof/festival. Not much of a difference when the main music is psytrance. Only really a question of size.

Didnt attend "mexican party" but i was at super mario or some shit a few weeks ago. Pretty much nothing but under 18's. Allot of wich were hostile or selling drugs (at the top of there lungs)

Sometimes doofs have more than one stage. A main stage which plays psytrance in its various forms and often a smaller stage that plays more chilled out music - the chill stage. I ask because that music was pretty chilled out in those clips.
