archaicrevivalist Posted April 17, 2008 Hey all, a friend founds heaps of mushrooms growing in cow shit in pine forests in rainy cold NNSW today. We completely suck at identification, even with all the info around, we can never satisfy ourselves with just supposing they are a certain species.... Please help! The pictures aren't the greatest, but it's all we could get..... Thanks in advance!
0 Shroomeup Posted April 17, 2008 looks mainly like P. cubensis with a couple P. cyanescens too. Make sure they all show signs of blueing. You should really post a proper ID request over at the shroomery just to make shore though. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Cat/0/Board/
0 Evil Genius Posted April 17, 2008 (edited) Hi Archaic! Is it possible that you have diffrent types of mushrooms there? The one mushroom on the under left seems to be bluing but the rest is not! I dont think that all of them are active as they just arent blue enough! Can you make a close Up of the Sporeprint? The color goes into the right direction but i wouldnt risk it! Not at all! And look for signs of bluing on the mushrooms! bye Eg Edited April 17, 2008 by Evil Genius
