Shroomeup Posted May 12, 2008 (edited) Yeah PD it has to be the substrate now I think about it. Although they are growing from the same batch of mulch as the others nearby. Very cool looking shrooms though. Your friend took some very nice pics also. Edited May 12, 2008 by Shroomeup

victorski Posted May 13, 2008 hey passive, are subs abundent in pine plantations or not very common ? i usually travel past the blue mountains to the pine plantations in search of edibles (saffron milk cups, slippery jacks in the past) but as i've only just got into magic mushies i'd never noticed/looked for subs in the past apart from a couple months ago when i found 2 small subs but as it hadn't rained nor was it cold enough i was lucky to find them, i geuss i was just wondering if its worth the trip ?? Undergrounder Posted May 13, 2008 Have you seen that video of the two WA bogans arrested for picking subs in a pine plantation? I guess that means it's possible.. i also remember reading about a guy that looks through pine stands and he says they're more common in the woodchip leftovers that the loggers leave than straight out of the needles. Also i think they occur in pine plantations in SA..
PD. Posted May 13, 2008 Always worth a look victorski.

Hyphal Posted May 16, 2008 (edited) After a long drive, I found a LOT of gym's, but nothing else of any real interest. It was great to get out and about in nature, away from the city, and have an adventure! And its good to see that the locals are capitalising on the town's reputation... MindExpansion Posted May 17, 2008 No fucking way, I wonder if those are really magic mushroom pies. Dont suppose youd post where the cafe was lol...for their sake i guess not and fair enough. THat is, assuming it is illegal which im sure it is, am i wrong? Also, great pics, makes me want to go for a nice bushwalk, nothing better than being out in nature whether or not the mushrooms decide to give you their gift.
