Guest reville Posted October 30, 2002 Morning all! The AFSR as most of you will know has been down for a month or 2. It is now gearing up for reopening. The website has been redesigned and data is being entered. A stocktake is also being done. The new site aims to give more info and if possible a picture of the plant offerred. The seedring will remain as before a resource for the australasian community foremost and also in a spirit of goodwill be open to international participants for exchange purposes and to help share our own distinctive australian germplasm with the world We would like to thank the donations offered so far to the AFSR which have helped greatly in running it. The simplicity of the operation means we do not have large overheads, also due in a large part to the continued provision of webspace by shaman-australis botanicals who we give a special thankyou to. What we do need is your continued involvement in curating and multiplying seedstocks and the return of seed to the seedring. Some are annuals and other may take several years but we plant to continue the seedring for a long time to come so please keep us in mind when the plants do mature we are not reopening just yet as we are playing catchup with a backlog of seed orders I have processed 10 tonight with a further 10 waiting on some expected seed arrivals, and a further 'large ' amount of mail yet to be collected, some containing donations. so please hang in, keep on sending in unwanted excess seed and if you have a long awaited order please drop us a line mid next week to see if your order is on its way, we do have a couple we cant find orders or names for addresses.
