Salviador Posted April 28, 2007 http://www.freecycle.org.au/ This is a cool site where you post stuff you no longer want but dont want to throw away for other people who may deem it a treasure. Good for saving money and earth's resources
Guest Øskorei Posted April 29, 2007 What a great idea. There are also a couple of places down at the Marrickville Community Centre that folks may find of interest: The Bower Reuse and Repair Centre Co-operative Ltd This place gathers old and unwanted household items such as furniture, appliance and more for resale at very reasonable prices. While a lot of the stuff can be junky, there are some good scores to be had if you keep a sharp eye out. Some nice vintage furniture. They also can arrange free pick up if you have a number of items no longer needed. http://www.bower.org.au/ Building 34, 142 Addison Rd, Marrickville Ph: 02 02 9568 6280 Reverse Garbage Co-Operative Another non-profit place, this one collects industrial waste, building material offcuts, unused plastic drums, manufacturing offcuts, foam, perspex, the list goes on. Great for those looking for craft supplies or even wanting to do a little DIY building. Location is a few steps away from the Bower. http://www.reversegarbage.org.au/ 142 Addison Rd, Marrickville
