0 incognito Posted March 30, 2007 hard to tell at that age really. guessing im saying pachanoi or preruviana, but really bit of a toss up until they start maturing.

0 Auxin Posted March 30, 2007 KK242 is a Trich Knize found when looking for abnormal T. peruvianus specimines. I believe it is generally regarded as a misidentified T. cuzcoensis specimen today. M S Smith has commented on this matter on numerous sites, for example: link tho I remember him going into much greater depth at the nook or ethnobotany.com
0 paradox Posted March 31, 2007 cuzcoensis if definately my best guess so far!
0 strangebrew Posted March 31, 2007 It's young but I'd still guess the dude has done alright by you and sent you a genuine peruvianus of sorts.
0 M S Smith Posted March 31, 2007 This is certainly not the "T. peruvianus KK242 (T. cuzcoensis?)" sort of Trichocereus. I'm with my friend strangebrew that this is a "genuine peruvianus of sorts." ~Michael~
0 paradox Posted April 2, 2007 i just want to add that the mother stumps have 9 ribs while the pups have 7. is it common for young peruviana's to have 9 ribs?
0 toby Posted April 5, 2007 Hey , If it's the guy i think it is, he purchased the seed as Trich' pachanoi, and labelled them as T sp. when the plants grew and didn't appear to be pachanoi, peruvianus sounds good though they do have a bit of macrogonus about them as they age..
