hairyplant Posted January 7, 2007 After returning from my holidays I found these little yellow wonders sticking out of my B. caapi pot. http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/inde...si&img=1165 http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/inde...si&img=1164 Are they good, bad? In terms of the happyness of my caapi? Common? symbiosis? The plant is more or less healthy, although was abused a little last dry season.
Dirty Old Man Posted January 7, 2007 I don't know what they are, but I had the same mushrooms growing out of my chilli plants pot. Most probably harmless.
AndyAmine. Posted January 7, 2007 Yeah I get'em in my cacti quite often in humid weather, never seem to be a problem although I guess they could steal some nutrients and attract fungus gnats and other vectors for disease.

SirLSD Posted January 14, 2007 i get them too and they really piss me off. how can i get rid of them? they might not be directly harmful but they can make the soil go bad when there has been heavy infestations that eventially die off naturally. i have lost a couple of small grafted cacti because of this. so how can i get rid of them and stop them from taking over whole pots??
