LIVE ACTS

Tsabeat/Sattel Battle (Gi'iwa/Israel)

After playing 5 years guitar and drums in several Punk and Metal bands Elad Weinberg (Aka Tsabeat) started in 2002 Sattel Battle project @ NorthernTsab studio. Since then creating non-stop psychedelic dance music.

Sattel Battle project is into funky melodic style (aka Suomi Saundi) The music is on the morning happy side not forgetting the psychedelic and space ness, mainly influenced by the likes of Texas faggott, Squaremeat and Haltya. Tsabeat project is more nightish and powerful music, influenced from derango, Grapes of wrath, metaloids. Also collaborating with energy loop @ DarkNoizZ project

Hired Goonz ( Gi’iwa Productions – QLD )

Neuron Compost and Petalien first met 4 years ago on an online dating service for unemployed hippies. They teamed up over their love of generic pop music and for two years produced unreleased remixes of artists such as Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears. After realising there is no money in pop remixes they decided to start writing psytrance together as they believed it would be the best area to make money and get women.

Their first track, 'Fractal Wonderland', was produced under the influence of Ayahuasca and deemed too psychedelic for the general public, so they buried the master dat tapes in a hole on Anjuna beach in Goa (near some coconut trees). Since then they have toned down their music to make it as generic, formulaic and user friendly as possible.

The Hired Goonz debut release appeared on the vertigo records compilation "Liquid Quit" , with more to follow shortly on the "Musica Discordia" compilation from Gi'iwa productions .

Terrafractyl (Melb)

Felix Greenless first discovered music in the womb and began creating tunes while still only an apprentice human being. A trained classical musician he is thus also a tortured soul on a quest for an impoverished life. When he discovered psytrance in 2002 his dreams of becoming a pauper became a reality and he was able to apply his renewed energy to his own music, spending the last four years writing and in the studio. With upcoming releases on the Sundance and Psypneumatix labels he is now breaking free from his self imposed exile to mash up the Australian party circuit.

Deutronium

David Norrish has been producing psytrance for almost 10 years. His sound does not fit neatly into any single sub-genre. Melodic and uplifting merged with driving and psychedelic, it is music designed to satisfy dancers and chin-strokers alike.

Mesq/Reality Pixie ( Gi’iwa Productions – QLD )

After spending the past few years immeresed in the Aussie doof culture, Mesq turned to Djing in an attempt to better understand himself, the dancefloor and the universe. Playing at parties along the East Coast of Australia, whether it be weird, twisted night-time or Crazy, Melodic Morning, Mesq delivers a unique and intelligent, slightly slideways, psychedelic journey suitable for any occassion.

His musical creation Reality Pixie, draws inspiration from a diverse cultural construct of music and mythology, resulting in a manic yet melodic, seriously silly blend of psychedelic sounds. With a release out on Gi'iwa's "Musica Discordia" and more on their way, expect to hear more from this new project soon.

Mycosonic (Tribeadelic - Hobart)

Mycosonic, aka Hobartians Adrian Brooks and Ben Paetz, formed in 2005. The Mycosonic project represents the concentrated efforts of these two dedicated musicians in a search for a powerful and articulate form of dance music and the ultimate fusion of energies. Adrian and Ben have both studied and played classical music in various groups and collaborations over the years. They have gained sets at many of Tasmania's premier psychedelic trance festivals and have just released their first track on Tribeadelic Records compilation, Cosmos. Mycosonic are currently working on their debut CD, a Tribeadelic release, and are ready to disseminate the psychedelic energy of the far south.

Neb. (Hobart)

Formally known as the artiste khunt DJ Buttfuck, neb is known across the lengths and breadths of the southern island as a talented producer prone to bouts of incurable prog. Heavily influenced by the bittersweet evil of the cyclops magician dwelling in his backyard, neb has been obtaining sets at many of Tasmania’s trance events and it’s just not true that this is always

in exchange for sexual favours.

DJs

Ozzy (Tribeadelic-Australia)

Deck wizard, producer and sonic sorcerer, OZZY heads Tribeadelic, Australia's premier psy-trance party outfit and record label. Known for his slinky sets and mind-blowing music, OZZY presents an aural assault of the senses. His morning sets are renowned for their madness and never fail to kick up the dust at Aussie bush doofs. As a Dj for many years, and with access to the magical music vaults of Tribeadelic artists, Ozzy has played at festivals in Israel, Japan, Noumea, Europe and of course many australian parties big and small! Ozzy set up Tribeadelic Records and with six albums released to smash dance floors, the label has become Australia's best and most popular at parties all over the world. Prepare for the freshest sounds from the melting pot of Melbourne, Australia.

BEWARE: HIGH VOLTAGE!!

Shamanix (UCC-Melbourne)

Luke draws his inspiration from across the spectrum of psychedelic trance styles and from a diverse range of artists . his signature sound is that of dark nights in deep forests : pounding kicks, punchy effects and wild atmospherics delivered with minimum cheese .

Sam I Am (Melbourne)

Consistently unpredictable, Sam's stupidly diverse 7 year DJ career has seen him up & down the east coast of Australia over the last 4 years, as well as at the base of Mt Fuji in 2005 after being asked to represent Dada Stream Publishing as "label DJ". Whether playing to dancers or lancers, Sam's sets, though occasionally challenging, are always on the money.

Dakini (Resonant Temple-Melbourne)

Dakini has been playing music to crowds at large outdoor parties, small intimate bush gatherings, clubs, launches, fundraisers and other alternative soirees since December 1999. Known originally for her stomping morning progressive tribal trance sound, Dakini has now taken a more downbeat approach, finding inspiration in creative exploration and experimentation within diversified sonic realms. As a result she now runs Submerge Chill Festival. Known for creating sacred sonic spaces, she describes her current sound as “danceable downbeat” – ranging from dubstep grooves & flamboyant breaks to lush psychedelic temple dub, IDM & shamanic soundscapes and beats. Her intention is to weave an intoxicating and magical tapestry of sound to take listeners on a journey, and uplift the Spirit.

Ellis D (Hobart)

Born of psychedelic royal stock, Ellis D was raised on a strict diet of ayahuasca, psytrance and whatever the damm hell he wanted, as was his birthright. The prince of the tas scene has been mixing tunes since his early teens and appears at most Tasmanian trance events to get the stompers stomping to his very funkeh electro trance.

Psywise (Hobart)

Coming to fame as the dingo who ate Azaria, Psywise fled to Tasmania the minute Lindy's conviction was overturned fearing retribution. After years of hiding in the world heritage wilderness area he reemerged an angry beast determined to seek revenge on the misunderstanding public. While scavenging bins for food he came across a now defunct Michael Jackson track and a rusty cheese grater. Thus discovering his method of ultimate vengeance he now terrifies Tasmanians with unstoppable cheddar and can always be expected to strike when least expected.

Pharmapsy (Launceston)

Discovering trance while still an apprentice human, pharmapsy has evolved into a mystical creature of epic proportions. Knighted by Ellis D and sent on a mission to spread the lurve he is famed for sending bumble bee's ‘fuck me’ chakras into overdrive with his psygressive style.

Kayhat (NNSW)

Kayhat fell out of his mum into a bath at the beautiful community of Tuntable Falls, next to Nimbin. Living many years on exotic communities & Byron Bay, he was then exposed to electronic music & LSD at the epicentre (famous for Beyond The Brain & Every Picture Tells A Story parties) as a fragile teenager. The subsequent results were horrendous, ending in Kayhat becoming a bitter, twisted individual. He frequently takes out his rage as the vinyl tsunami, Kayhat (residing @ the Winsome Hotel in Lismore), or as his alter-ego, Machine Drink, or on his weekly show "Northern Rivers Electronica" at community-based 2NCRFM in Lismore (where he is now stranded), or on Oztrance Razz . Point at him and say "Shut Up, Kayhat!!!!" when he plays his landscape of drillcore, grime, minimal tech & dirty electro, He loves you to talk dirty to him.

Em (Hobart)

Nursed from the womb of Cybele and arriving unto this world in a coconut shell she lived a life of solitude, raised by butterflies, in the Cayman Islands before discovering the mystical beauty of Tasmania via telepathic connection with the otherworld. She teleported herself and landed halfway up a mountain at a place known by locals as 'the Springs' to find the uncivilised natives moving simultaneously in a strange fashion to some weird arse beats. She has not looked back since and is now the queen of the uncivilised heathens in the south, wowing them with her funky psy choonz at every opportunity.

Dom (Hobart)

Revered by many as a modern day prophet Dom has been preaching to Tasmanian punters since he first discovered mescalin while searching for the holy grail in Mozambique in 1998 (he also has no sense of direction). Upon finding the grail naturally God spoketh unto him and commanded he spread the message of soul through trance. He remains faithful and loyal to this day.

Shammie (Hobart)

Shammie was the conceptual thought of his earth parents at the completion of a shamanic ceremony deep in the Amazon. They willed him into existence whereupon they set about conditioning the ultimate hippy. Failing miserably they abandoned him while holidaying in Hobart where he was taken in by kindly elves and introduced to psytrance. He now wants to be skazi, although will happily settle for the status of rigger.

Juiced (Melbourne)

Haas Effect (Hobart)

Nizza (Hobart)

more surprises on the way...

Gates open at 10am and music kicks off midday Saturday 10 Feb for a massive 30hrs over two stages and will also feature the Tasmanian leg of the ‘no pants’ tour at the special Funk My Slut party on the second stage Sunday. There will be forestry information, camping and facilities, markets, unlimited natural spring water, fire twirling, amazing décor, nearby swimming hole, licenced bar, organic food, incredible forest and mountain views, tripper games and SHENANIGANS aplenty as Tasmania struts it’s psychedelic stuff at the gateway to the UN listed south west world heritage area.

This is a private function open only to members of the 'so sue me' club. Membership is available on the gate for $20. Non members will be removed from the private property. On request of the site owner dogs are permitted only at a cost of $100 per snout. The $100 will include registration for your pet, who must be leashed at all times, with the change adding to the Gunns 20 donation. This will be strictly adhered to out of respect for the donated location and to maintain the integrity of the surrounding bush and forest.

NO FIRES permitted under ANY circumstances. No illicit substances. Please come to this event prepared for the unpredictable Tasmanian weather. We could be dancing under the hottest sun in the country or stomping through snow. You will need to bring some food and water, COSTUMES!!!, sunblock, hat, warm clothing and all the positive energy you can muster.

Directions- from Hobart, take the southern outlet it's conclusion, turn right at the roundabout onto the Huon Hwy and drive to Huonville. Stay on the hwy as it passes through town (though perhaps take a detour to the right at the only roundabout in Huonville to visit Granny Lou’s and the environment centre for supplies and forest info). Just after the main township is a bridge. Turn right immediately after the bridge and drive for another 13km to Judbury. Stay on the road as it crosses an intersection and turns to dirt and follow the signs, you’re nearly there. The entire journey should take under an hour from Hobart. PLEASE DRIVE CAREFULLY. B-Double log trucks carting away your heritage present a hazard on these roads.

This event could not take place without the dedicated support of the entire Tasmanian psychedelic and environmental communities. Thanks especially go to the Tasalien, Psyphonetics and Terraphonic crews as well as the Tasmanian branch of the Wilderness Society, Huon Valley Environment Centre and Ruffcut records for their advice and donated resources and equipment. All featured artists have donated their time and many have gone above and beyond by funding their own travel, contributing to the wonderful energy, rallying artists and crews and also making themselves freely available to deal with a stressed promoter. The promoter appreciates and loves you all. Namaste.
