FancyPants Posted November 22, 2010 ^^ Rad! Reminds me of a cross between Tommyknockers and It, both Stephen King novels. Did you use slow shutter speed for the glow?

Any chance you can fill us in on your weapon of choice, and your favourite lens's. PS- what is metadata? Edited January 19, 2011 by Slybacon

Alice Posted February 28, 2011 This is my favourite thread on these boards Ronny. I usually ignore the creativity forum, but alway look at your thread when I notice an update. Your eye for capturing the moment in people shots is extraordinary. And your composition is usually spot on too. I have your Flickr album bookmarked, but I think that most of the crème de la crème that you post here deserve their own website. Something polished, with a simple design so as not to distract from your work.

RonnySimulacrum Posted March 26, 2011 (edited) Fantastic question Teljkon Well as i am a student, it is not my place directly to influence others but our teacher’s responsibility. However we all have a chance to comment on other students work, and i often do. Best skilful approach is to recommend other artist doing better work in the same field and hope that helps them when they review other artist to reinterpret their own approach. Or just come out and say what you think, but only if you can offer practical and or positive criticism. Saying something is shit or not the best but not being able to help them somehow critically makes you worse than them for producing something that is not 100%. but also if they achieved there goal and there message get across, then really if i do not like the image technically or it composition, then that is my problem and the work has probably been successful. I would not grow as a photographer if it was not for the feedback of others, this thread alone has help me. However to some people i am a good photographer, to others i am a not at all. But like the best art, sometimes the act is in the creation, and that can carry you on regardless. Hope that helped quick question as a photo student what is you say to other photographers when you notice that thier composition/technical merrite of a photo is good. But you think the picture/subject matter sucks. Edited March 27, 2011 by RonnySimulacrum

RonnySimulacrum Posted April 7, 2011 Maybe think about it more like food, and taste. You can appreciate the work that has gone in to an amazing meal, but it is just not for you. But I have to wonder still how do you say to some one I see your point the goal has been reached technically your work is good the composition is fine. But i still just dont like the piece. Once again perhaps its a personal problem I have with art . [/color]
