trixxy3 Posted December 18, 2006 gotta love the slogan they've thought up to go w/the anti-drug driving campaigne.for booze we had "if you drink & drive you're a bloody idiot" for drugs we get "if you drive on drugs you're off your head" someones got a sense ov humor in the TAC it seems. What about the "drive high, people die" one, kinda putting people on a guilt trip in terms of the balance of karma in the world. kinda like "everytime you masturbate, god kills a kitten". Torsten Posted December 19, 2006 noodle, metabolites don't have to form in the mouth to be saliva detectable. As far as I know the metabolites are excreted from the saliva glands. This means that medications such as selegiline could probably cause positives. My recommendation for anyone who gets busted via saliva test is to immediately get a blood sample drawn in hospital and to have it dated and stored. Pay whatever it takes to have this done as it may be your only way to clear your name. In fact, this applies to work place tests too. GC/MS is the only reliable testing method and blood is the only reliable sample source. For example, if you shared a drink bottle with someone who was snorting meth you might find rather high levels in your saliva and none in your blood.
