SPICEy phalaris?

Question

I'm very sure this is a species of Phalaris, but have no idea which one. Regardless, this stuff grows like a jungle in the channels around here.

Sorry dude you're way off; Phalaris spp. are grasses.

Phalaris - Poaceae

Cyperus - Cyperaceae

They are however both Monocotyledonous plants.

Cyperus eragrostis; Drain sedge; Exotic weed.

Aaah, it was Cyperus I must've been thinking of. I knew it looked exactly like the stuff tepa posted, which inspired this post. Thanks for the correction gerbil :)

So to rephrase, does anyone know if this Cyperus might be active?

I'm looking to do a big harvest some time soon and do some extractions/fun stuff with it anyway, so I should know whether it is psychoactive sooner or later.
