spiders Posted November 5, 2006 Hi if youve found a mushroom and your keen to get an ID, the following would help: description of the stem (covered in fibrils? colour?) description of the cap (colour, shape) description of the gills (close, crowded, attached to stem?) spores (make a spore print by placing the mushroom cap on paper and covering overnight with a glass - report the colour) habitat (where was it growing? what was it attached too?) and a good picture can be priceless.
