Just a reminder to dog owners out there.....Easter Eggs and Dogs are not a good combination. As we know chocolate is toxic to dogs (so i better not be a dog in my next life) . I know dark chocolate is the worst, but any chocolate is bad for dogs. (i haven't researched the ifs and buts ). ....
Anyway.........
Miss 10 had a 100 gram milk chocolate Easter Rabbit that she was given by her Aunt. I warned her, and kept reminding her not to leave it laying around, as Buddy the Jack Russell will get it. Later on... we found foil remnants of her rabbit on her bed !!!!!!... Panic stations !!!! Bloody dog. Of course its after hours and no vets are immediately available. I remembered a friend telling me what she did when her dog ate dark chocolate...so i rang her, and took Buddy over to her house ( 5kms away). With much effort and distress we got a few 'Lectric Soda crystals' down the dogs throat, and within a few minutes, Buddy was ralphing up lots of gooey chocolate. Pheww..!!! Lucky i had a towel for him to chuck on as it was a slimey brown mess. It would have been hard to clean out of her pebble path. So hopefully he will be alright. ?. Stupido dog.
So yeah... If you have Easter eggs / chocolate,... Make sure your dog doesn't end up with them.
By the way.. Happy Easter . Go eat some chocolate and don't share it with your pooch.
