I fluked this one when I was a noob .. fk knows how ... but anyway I just managed to do it the very next try... seeds only arrived a couple of days ago...
So yeah , I figured I'd capture the process from start to finish (hopefully not too soon a finish though)
hope it's useful to others trying to get this little beauty of a species going..
Germination (indoor)...
-1x pack of fresh mountain grown seeds from the hills of America
-Acacia mix (john innes loam50/50hort' gravel) or old cactus seed raising pot's contents
-pots > in this case 2" BEF and 40mm wattle tube, square (of course)
-4-5mm deep layer of sand
-one bog standard electric propagator/mini greenhouse
-tweezers for sowing optional
Add seeds to top of mix or "post" them into mini holes poked with some fine tip tweezers,
spray in and pop into: "the oven" gas mark: "switched on" and wait a couple of days...
- if you catch them early enough germinating on the surface , then the mini poked holes "tek" thing is a really nice thing to do I find
Ta- da!
