Yeah, just re-potted mine, in  unglazed terracotta pots, using a grouse mix made by old mate, trusted SAB visionary, Dr Greenthumbs.

$25 for a nice bag specially mixed, job done, should be right for the next 5 yrs.

Check out his stuff, yeah, I couldnt help using this thread to give him a well deserved plug.

Wow thanks Horus! How are they liking the new mix?

  3. Hey Skelly yep all going very well mate! We haven't missed a beat!

I am a shift worker tho and she's almost never alone for longer than 3-4hrs.. on the odd occasion she does 18hrs by herself overnight we might get some chewing in the yard...

Won't let anyone thru the gate even if she knows them, with one exception due to lots of training and practice whilst were away or at work.

Basically.. go adopt a staffy..!! Gong has plenty, I saw a lab x staffy mix for adoption at the million paws walk over the weekend

Well at least you had partial success! If I had more space for leafy plants I'd do a few for sure

I would think this should be fine. What issues are you expecting with it and hoping to avoid?

No idea better safe than sorry!!

@theuserformallyknownasd00d ooh your on the south coast d00d and your growing aya vine successfully! I must eventually get a cutting mate, I hear its best to source a cutting of a cold weather climatized vine if you plan on attempting it down here. I'm in the shoalhaven and am very keen to get some growing. I've actually got a dead eucalypt/banksia in the back yard i plan to train it up. It will be nice if it works out...

By the way no idea about caapi in the compost. Sry

Cool man yeh they are getting out of control here, today I would have cut down 20mtra as thick as my pinky. Happy to send you some to root at some point

  6. Hey guys, so my biggest greenwastes in the yard are acacias and Aya vine! The acacias are awesome at compost but does anyone have any experience or theories about the Aya vine?

I'm assuming it will be ok and have a big leafmulch pile of it accumulating pretty fast but wanted to throw it in the thermo piles.

    cheers :)
