Heya SABers, my turn for a Comp giveaway!!! I've mentioned this plant and it's growth rate a bit lately and people are keen on getting some. Problem is all mines planned for graft stock and waterboy bugged the hell outta me for a cut so there's just one on the table to the winner of this quite different Comp! I'll have more later I can sell, keep yas posted so the Comp... whoever can guess or is closest to the opening date of these OSP flowers, gets a 1ft tip cut once they open! All entries need to be in by 1st November and the winner announced when they open! All i I know of this plant is I got it from watertrade and he got it from SAB. It has personality and growth rate to name a few parts of its swagga. Me and my mates gave it the name old school Pedro after it was turned out to be a winna Happy guesses!! edit TIP; these buds have only popped out in the last 2mths

Try some extra nitrogen top dresses too like manures etc, give those worm castings something to eat! Vermicast is amazing!! both those products should knock the majority of pests. The dipel will fox root attacking pests like gnats too, a soil drench won't harm anything
-
For whitefly try foliar neem and for the grubs try dipel. Both available at the green shed, ~$60 for them both but that's a fair few applications. Both organic and won't harm soil life. If your using lots of bottle nutrients in your garden etc try to go back to compost top dressings and the likes for nutrients instead. Taking my patch to a "notill" environment has levelled everything for me

Fungus gnats? Similar looks anyways deficiency wise. So long as your soil is a good mix and it's not a nute/micronute problem is say gnats. Also considering you day you water and mist often, perfect gnat house! Neam oil or pyrethrum will help but make sure to kill the larvae cycles if it indeed turns out to be the dreaded flying fungus gnat. infact if you put a slice of potatoe on the soil surface gnat larvae should appear and look like little white worms at the soil surface

theuserformallyknownasd00d replied to theuserformallyknownasd00d's topic in Ethnobotany
Electric fence!? Brutal!! How about a walk around the block or fetch!! Tire that fucker out man!! I got a 1.5yr old staffy and feel your pain... 1mth ago she knocked down a table with $700 worth of rare succulents on it and then thought the table looked comfortable enough for a nap... now she she gets dragged behind my longboard for an hr a day! -

I should have said, instead of using glycol use coconut oil. It may or may not be suitable for your extract -

Proteolytic enzymes (or proteases) refer to the various enzymes that digest (break down into smaller units) protein. These enzymes include the pancreatic proteases chymotrypsin and trypsin, bromelain (pineapple enzyme), papain (papaya enzyme), fungal proteases, and Serratia peptidase (the “silk worm” enzyme). from google. So to get this enzyme to the roots you could use a papaya fruit fermentation, you'd need to use the seeds to get the papain tho. I have a papaya ferment going and being strained/stabilised today funnily enough. -

Change - could these FTL proteins be fermented using something like lactobacillus and then made somewhat available to the plant? In Korean natural farming methods, if something has "A" in it, and it's fermented down using LAB or BIM (beneficial indigenous microbes), then "A" is available to the plant through the roots and foliar. Say carrots were high in this FTL1/2, you'd ferment them down for 3-6 days then feed it back to the plants... just a thought but I may be way off here, I am just assuming there's a natural source high in this protein available for you to use -

Depending what your trying to extract into the glycol, maybe try coconut oil. It won't dissolve gel capsules -
Fuck I'm glad I live in Australia and it only cost $50 not to vote. I couldn't handle living amongst an election process like this... is bugs me to hell living over here!!
