    TBM crest

I have recently acquired this funky little TBM crest. As you can see, It has a mutated pup coming from the tip of the crest. My main objective is to get more of the crest to grow. I will remove and graft the pup onto some pach. But should i leave the crest on it's own roots to grow, or.... segment it up and try grafting the sections of crest ? I imagine it would be quite hard to graft sections of this crest as it is so thin. What would you do ? http://s1084.photobu...nt=P1020660.jpg I cant seem to upload the pic so here is a link to the photo on photobucket.
  2. besides being my own self administered guinea pig for various plants, no clinical trials. But my brother has done many trials with C max from Adelaide. Pays well.... and is pretty safe. If your interested.. here is the link. good tax free money ! http://www.cmax.com.au/home.html
  3. Looks like they are trying to take it down ! The american department of homeland security orders the account of largest exchange to be seized. DHS Cracks Down on Bitcoins Orders Account of Largest Exchange Seized in 'Ongoing Investigation'by Jason Ditz, May 15, 2013 Print This | Share This The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), has fired the first salvo in what appears to be a crackdown on the secure online currency Bitcoins this week, ordering the seizure of accounts related to the largest exchange for the currency, Mt. Gox. Tokyo-based Mt. Gox is by far the largest Bitcoin exchange, handling an estimated 63 percent of the global market of the currency, amounting to roughly $450 million worth of volume. The DHS Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office, which has effectively become a catch-all for crackdowns on online activity objected to by the US government, served a warrant (PDF) claiming that despite being foreign-based, Mt. Gox was violating US money exchange laws by operating without a license. They ordered a bank account belonging to Mt. Gox’s subsidiary Mutum Sigilium seized in the crackdown. The seizure was ordered as part of what officials are referring to as an “ongoing investigation” into the currency in general and Mt. Gox in particular. They have refused to provide additional information, beyond that contained in the warrant. Mt. Gox issued an initial statement insisting they were unsure of the “scope and/or the reasons” for the move, but has promised additional information as it learns more. The US Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has claimed broad authority over all use of “virtual currencies” and has imposed an onerous set of “guidelines” on who it believes is responsible for keeping detailed records of money transfers. Since Bitcoins are by design a decentralized, secure currency, there is literally no physical way for the US government to effectively shut them down. At the same time, the DHS move reminds us that this isn’t necessarily a deterrent for hostile action at anything the US government deems a threat to policy, and moves against the major public exchanges of Bitcoins could have a deleterious effect on the currency’s use in many perfectly legal transactions. http://worldtruth.tv/us-seizes-top-bitcoin-exchange-as-crackdown-begins/

    free seed giveaway

OK I have just sorted and seperated all the seeds I generously recieved from Micromegas. As agreed I will be giving them all away ( all but a few for my nursery ) each species was open pollinated in a field of flowering trichs and could "potentially" be crossed with anything which is kind of cool. So we have : Goliath OP many thousands. Bridge OP ( labelled unk - may be certain clone - will have to find out) around 1000 Bruce OP 300 seeds Psycho0 OP 200 seeds Super pedro OP 300 seeds Macrogonus OP 4-500 seeds Validus OP ( very very few... maybe 30 seeds after I take ten ) Yowie OP 4-500 cuzco OP 300 Scopulicola OP 400 The way I am thinking of doing it is getting a rough idea of interest and then perhaps making up portions to suit the number of people. You might not squeeze in on the validus but should be able to at least get a portion of the rest. And a heap of Goliath which is one of my favourite plants. So Who is keen to lay down some seed ?? open to all states and all members (edit) parents and possible pollen donors pictured from page 4 onwards in Micromegas' posts here http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=33701&page=4

I planted this guy a week or two ago, it was a hefty 2.6 metres of macro. I know it's not the optimum time but I wanted her in. Ill probably leave it tied like this until well into the next growing season. She is about a foot deep into the ground.

  8. After seeing what happened to Myco, all it takes is for someone here to advertise a pedro or similar in the exchange forum and if they are from any of the states where these plants are illegal and they can be traced down and arrested. I don't think it is too far fetched to think that. I think the first salvos in a messy war have well and truly been fired. The cacti forum is very heavily moderated though... those guys do a good job. But the limits are being pushed elsewhere. I think the bulk of the trusted and known members should head to an invite only onion site for further dealings. Maybe at0m could help set something up ? ( is this actually even a good idea - san pedro road australia ;) )

What are the chances of police now contacting members on here after seeing their collections and asking to come round to make a purchase, only to be raided by the police ? Do people think that this is a once off or the start of many many more gardens being raped ? Isn't everyone pretty worried over this ?

    Protest Monsanto - May 25th

Id start with the upper echelon of the employee list of Monsanto and their collaborators ( the politicians that allow these corporate behemoths to run a riot with total immunity from liability. Seriously. Would that make me a terrorist ? Unfortunately, being such a puppet state of "America" I personally believe protests like this will not have any impact on It's future, and well planned intentions here in Australia. Call me a pessimist but i say I am a realist. I could be wrong, but have a look at the millions strong protests of support for the libyan and Syrian government got them. What did the occupy movement manage to effect ? Have any of the mass protests across the world ever stopped big wars ? Ill probably get locked up for saying this... I think we need to start playing hardball. Would it be right to fight a violent campaign in the self defense of the future of the planet ? ( FFS - they want to put the same deep sea oil rig from the horizon disaster here in SA south of Kangaroo island NOT ON MY WATCH - Ill be swinging 8 foot lengths of macro at all the bastards )

have you ever saved a life?

Was down the beach about two years back when a young autistic boy was playing at the edge of a large estuary. The ocean tide was dropping fast so the flow coming from the river was quite intense. Myself and a friend were spearfishing approximately 100 metres offshore. After shooting a nice fish, i surfaced to put it in my catch bag when I heard all this screaming from the beach. The little boy had fallen in above his head at the edge of the river and was washed out to sea fast. It took me a little while to work out what was going on and find him, But with my wetty and fins and being a strong swimmer I got to him pretty quick. he had gone under but not lost consciousness, just swallowed a lot of water. he was easy to manhandle as he was only around 7yrs of age but heavily autistic. It was like he was not there - just staring straight through me. I swam him out to the side of the rip when I heard more screaming. Turns out the mother had jumped in fully clothed in a panic to try save him and got swept out just as far and was going under herself. My friend and another guy that had made it over in a kayak by that time grabbed her and pulled her in. Anyway we got him to shore and the medics were called. We didn't stick around for all the hoohaa and got back out spearing. Im pretty sure that if we didn't by chance happen to be right there, he would have had to be resuscitated and possibly died. It was a good feeling !

Don't let pride get in the way man... it could really help you. This is an amazing community and this is an attack on us all. I would like to think i could call upon my SAB brethren for assistance in a time of need. Im going to start a thread pledging a hundy and a nice plant for auction tomorrow. If you think this is something worth rallying behind, any plant or cash donations would be appreciated. Myco is a longstanding and valued member here and I am sure that together we may be able to give him the little help that we can. And Myco, if you don't like taking it bro... let me take it and Ill hire your lawyer. There is nothing wrong with accepting help from those who who really want to help.

Im willing to chuck a hundred dollars into a fund to help Myco with legal rep. Should we get an oxfam type auction underway to help him out ?? Im willing to kick it off. Because as much as this seems like Myco's fight, really, It is "our" fight as a community ! What do people think... ?? I reckon it is time to band together here.
  20. All my vibes going to Myco my man right now... off to zone out and send ya some of me best mate.
  21. http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35583 The information in this thread linked here is enough for me to take the precaution. ( I have had many many dealings and communications with the member this has occurred to and quite frankly It makes me nervous ! ( by the way... It's Tipz here... went for a spur of the moment name change when the law fired the first shots of the war against our collections. So the cactus jihadist I now am ! )
