Hi all..I was just wondering if any one has had any success using the bagged manure from bunnings as a bulk substrate?... I see they have two types, one supposedly being organic

Just a heads up for anyone using the "fine farms" brand of organic cow manure...this stuff reaks to the high heavens and you will be smelling it on your hands for at least a day...gloves are recommended

cubensis LOOKING FOR SPORE PRINTS OF THE CUBENSIS VARIETY
Hex_OMEGA replied to STEEBLES's topic in Mycology
For what it's worth I've used rtv silicon PC'd on home made spawn bags (double oven bags) as injection ports successfully...It didn't stick to the bags too well and they needed to be handled with utmost care until they colonized 100%. I left them on a shelf until they were done then spawned to a mono. -

well...that is handy to know. Thanks for that Cue. Hopefully I will still be viewing in 30 yrs -
Hi everyone, I currently have a couple of AA+ prints I would like to trade for other strains strictly for microscopy use only. I am interested mainly in SE Asian strains..namely TLY, nepal chitwan, cambodia, burma etc. PM me if interested.

Spores last for at least several years -
Thanks cue..I've read a lot of guys in the states use it..like you said different areas and different brands etc..So a bit hard to compare. Probably worth just giving it a go..Then I'll know what to expect at least

That sounds like it would be great compost.. Unfortunately space is a big issue for me

Very informative... Thanks a lot d00d

haha...I remember seeing these when I was a kid..say around 4 or 5. I remember thinking they were some sort of alien creature and my logic at the time couldn't comprehend where they came from...They scared the shit out of me and I hated going near them...hahaha

Hi, I was wondering if any one has some of these cuttings to sell. I would prefer local pick up if available in SE QLD. Thanks
-
Thanks for having a look...don't suppose you know which species?
-
I bought a bunch of cuttings today off Gumtree and am hoping some one can I.D. them for me? I can take more photos or give more details if needed I just spent the last couple of hours potting them up. I'm pretty sure they are all from the same mother plant too. Thank you guys.

thanks mate

Hi..me again..lol. Was hoping some one could identify this mushroom? They were found in SE QLD at the base of a small Grevillia in cypress pine mulch. There had been some rain in the last couple of days. Unfortunately I was unable to take a spore print.
-
Thanks Berengar...I was leaning towards Agaricus campestris.
-
Hi all..found these literally 2 metres from my front door today growing from a lawn after moderate rain in SE QLD. I'm thinking it's possibly an agaricus species from the spore print?
-
ok..cool..thanks for the free lesson

Was wondering if anyone can id these?..they popped up in my mate's garden and have always wondered what they were..one had a browny coloured spore deposit on it's cap
