OWWW shit,... this was exactly the problem one of the guys in the CNN Piers Morgan show addressed. This is a big no no in my opinion,... Importing part is ok,.... but making a brand and commericalizing it with advertisements.... I don't think that that is conductive to a mature/educated attitude.
-
Watching CNN Piers Morgan show,... pretty good arguments,... with people admitting that the war on drugs in the war on people. Some good viewpoints being discussed in a mature & open way. Things most of us here have been saying a long time... Points like; Completely legalizing pot is not the way,... think people agressively advertising like alcohol & tabacco and young people their developing brains (mental health problems). Was just good to se & hear that a major news network was openly discussing it, and it looked that people from different backgrounds (a leading figure in the War on drugs) were all agreeing in some form. A light at the end of the tunnel??? Time will tell. My opionion is that the way we deal with drug issues can be a major indicator of our maturity as people/nations/etc and can perhaps be relevant in the way we deal with other major issues of our time. be well peeps!

How to straighten up a crooked cactus?
woof woof woof replied to Quixote's topic in Cacti & Succulents
But if you must straighten it out,............ we will give you the secret cactus straightening incantation rituals. -
What is the weirdest thing you have ever seen?
woof woof woof replied to Halcyon Daze's topic in Chill Space
The subconscious is connected to everything. So very possible that you tapped into another person, who either existed or has yet to materialize...... or maybe there is someone out there allive today with which you have exchanged energy... all possible in my opinion whitewind. -
ohhh when I read "Mutant Rave",.... I thought I was going to read about people becomming mutants due to rave parties and swallowing new radioactive laced xtc pills..... hahahaha,...... Dude,.... I know how to flip out and lose it too! hahaha,... not up much for the astrological sign stuff,.... I mean it is interesting and back then when I used to read about it I could see the correlations in personality traits or simmilarities. Lately I have thought allot about the parralels between quantum stuff and spiritual matters.... to me it makes total sense,... but to many,..especially people who love their strong scientific foundations,... spiritual stuff is just too vague. (But I am very thankfull for scientists & modern science) So yes,.. I am constantly looking for the point where science and spirituality meet.

Hola Amigos,... hahaha,... or hey peeps,... I am looking at the possibility of some serious cactus cultivation here on the island. I have been looking at the Nopales of mexico. There are soooooo many cultivars available. AS far as I know some are Opuntia Ficus Indica,.... but here s the thing,... most of them don't look anything anymore as the opuntia ficus indica. I am trying to find more info on the cultivars and also people that are willing to send pads overseas. here is an awesome vid with lots of info on Nopales,... unfortunately it is in Spanish..... I am pretty decent at spanish,... so if you want anything explained,.. just reply to this topic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAnl2H8KT5w&NR=1&feature=endscreen As far as I know ,.. nopales are grown for 3 reasons,... animal feed, fruits (called Tuna) and for Nopalitos,.... Nopalitos are de-skinnd Nopal pads cut into pieces and then either potted up like normal vegges or roasted...... supposed to be good eating,.. never tried it. I am of course more focused on the fruit bearing cultivars. So any info on who got the hot Opuntia pads ......... let me know please.......... seeds take long,.... too long maybe. zankssss

After I posted I realized I did not study the pic as good as I should have. So I had a look at it again when I had the time. And I have to agree with Hellonasty. Like Hellonasty said. Treat it,... and then the next step would be to regraft. Hope your grafting skills are good, and be aware that there is no guarantee, but will be your best bet on saving it in the long run. I think there are a few things you could do to make your chances better. 1 would be to only graft for example the top part of the weird growth. Should it fail,.. then you might have a second chance at grafting if the back end remains attached,... if there is no further spread of the infection to the mother plant. There is however a chance that the back attached end will start to die down after you cut is and then that opportunity is also lost. apologize for the previous reply. should have looked at it better. Thankfully we have Hellonasty's experienced opinion. I certainly hope some other graft masters of SAB will reply to further elaborate on the possibilities or confirm what Hellonasty said. Would be a damned shame if your beautiful Loph shrivels up and dies.

Wow,.... I'd totally go with you if I could man! I am pretty serious when it gets to fishing..... so when I go fishing I usually only go with people that are serious, ocussed and know what they are doing. Looks like the place to hook up with some serious fish......... I can only imagine the size of wahoo, dog toothies.... and some serious marlin . ..... my fav's are the mahi's! But a big ol yellowfin tuna......... anything hitting that lure over 15 kgs is good fun. Usually the average wahoo in our southern caribbean waters is between 12 and 18 kg's. Every now and then a 20+ will hit it,.... I love that rush that follows. Hand lines like Halcyon mentioned is what I usually use too for bottom dwellers. Haven't jigged much,.... but people that have been along with us on our boat have showed us that it is super effective way to catch fish. Make pics of the catch and show us Joxy! Would love to see it.

I would leave it on as long as it is growing just fine. You could treat it with a fungucide just to be sure. If you degraft and it is infected, the chance of your graft taking successfully will be less. So better nurse it back to health if it is indeed infected. There is a small chance that it is a chimera. So better take precautions and treat it as such. However you want to look at it,.... it looks special. If you get pups from this baby and feel like sending some off to a faaaaaa faaaa away location to spread the love.... let me know. :D Btw,... when it shoots off pups,... then you should start grafting them as soon as they are big enough. stay on the safe side..... I was in love with your plant the moment I saw it!
-
I watched most of them from a distance,..... hosed the same lot with some water from a distance,.... mawfgin lizards ate my new seedling hostiles babies... (should I shoot them to schmittareens with my pellet rifle..?).... a Hylocereus Polyrhizus has bloomed for the second time (2nd blooming wave)...too bad it needs cross pollination in order to set fruit. Have a few other hylocereus & selinicereus strains that should be able to take care of the cross pollination in a year or so... :-) have a decent amount of graftstock ready,... Peruvies, perseky's amd selinicereus planted for some serious grafting I hope to be doing in the near future....

Amazonian's Show and Tell.

What do you get from entheogens that's not available anywhere else?
woof woof woof replied to Seldom's topic in Chill Space
revisit after some time if you need to take some clutter out, or meditate for at least 30 mins a day every day,... that is how I see it. Important to have a good look on the inside every now and then. -
What if you transplant cells of lets say a Lophop in a Trich and they survive in the trich under the skin. Would that get expressed in some way?
-
Xactly,.... walk your own way,.... learn to be your own man,.... approach as many woman as you can till you are comfortable with that, without getting attached..... become a all around solid person. You are still young,.. so you can still form yourself.... just prioritize & organize your life..... know what you want and what not. Think about this Jwerta,..... A solid guy will be more attractive to a woman. So I agree most definitely with ''alone time / find your own way time"........ I think you need to tell us about your revelations and your progress,.... we will make your SAB Man Up Jwerta project! :-D

Zelly the T.Glauca you have there is what I know as T.Glaucus form the cuttings I received from Knize in 2002. Unfortunately they were not very happy campers and rotted in the wet season.
-
his site is down,.... probably either muerto or spending his last soles in a hooker bar..........drinking beer and trippin on cacti
-
I wonder if Knize still answers his emails.... or that he is even alive still,.... last time I think I emailed with a daughter of his.....
