I just finished eating a Opuntia Fruit :D good tasting! I have had a few of them. Have no clue what spp / cultivar they are. I think they are imported from Colombia.. (I live nearby) Also have been collecting the pads of plants that grow around the island and also managed to eat some of the fruits. I love them. The seeds are much tougher then hylocerues spp. I dont chem them up,... it is possible to chew them up. Now, I just spit them out in places where I think they could maybe sprout on their own. Rainey season is comming up. :D

Just have fun man,..or make it fun. <<<< is actually all you need to know or to do. but here are some pointers. find out what you both like and go do that,,...having a plan or multiple alternatives is great. So go for a tea or coffee or a small bite,... find out what she likes and go do that. If you don't have much in common,... it's not a deal breaker... if you make her laugh then that is enough of a basis to start with. tell her silly things about yourself,.. things she can laugh about,... if she laughs about your silly shit,.. then you have the right to tease her... hahaha,... then again you should tease woman as much as you can. Be sure to lean back,... relax,... (know that there is always a chance that it will not go the way you want and that you will have to look further for a another nice gal.) Plenty fish in the ocean. If you do not have any expectations about the date cept for a nice day and getting to know the person, then you will not come across as to eager or desperate < that kills it. So don't try to hard or be to hard on yourself. Just chill. That should be your mantra,... Just chill & smile. and yes.... if she is puuuurdy,... you and you like her,... and you can let her know that by saying it in the beginning upon meeting,.. Like "hey you,.. you looking gooood today",.... kiss kiss and then immediatly followed,... by saying shall we go grab something to drink and maybe a bite to eat.... when you say it.... touch lightly on the arm.... slowly escalate... you can do that by give a high fiving or bump (whatev's popular) for the cool things she does (reward her) and also tease her for her silly shit,.. tease relentlessly hahaha,.... hahaha,.. yes,.. make her a little shocked & crazy hahaha. You gotto test your boundaries right?!?! hahaha So yeh Jwertsss,... just have fun,.. bounce some vibes off of eachother,... and see where it leads.... hopefully you can escalate and get to the point where you both want to kiss,.... so at the end if you had a fun date and both agree,.. you can go in for the kiss,.. you can even ask or tell her that you would like to kiss her, especially if you both agree that the date is worth a repeat,.. you can try it. Next time you invite to your place,... watch a vid, cook a meal,.. set the mood,... and again,.. lean back man! ohhh btw,... also looking into the edible opuntia fruits from Mex. (not the O. ficus indica) The only cactus plant that I havent been able to obtain yet is the Pereskia Aculata < So if anyone out there has seeds of the P. Aculata.. the edible strain,.. please let me know and hope we can work something out.

I have had H. Polyrhizus (which they say is the same as H. Costarisensis) for quite a while,.. so no fruits yet,.. Until NOW finally I have another H. Polyrhizus (totally different morpholigy) which is also setting flowers. So I am sure I will get fruits now. Have 2 Yellow pitaya's (S. Megalanthus) have many other H. Undatus self fertile cultivars as well. Will take at least a few more years. I'm growing them for myself and as a pilot project to see if I can grow them here as a business. I mean,.. what better thing then to grow cacti and make an extra buck that way. :-)

Zelly How do you decide with wich you want to make hybrids? Never really thought about that process. Atleast the 1st astro 2 flowers, so you can make to seperate pollinations.

There was an earthquake in Mutants city not too long ago. haven't seen him around lately. anyone had contact with him in the last couple of days?

,.. It's possible that it did not take that well. I see allot of space between the graft and the stock. Maybe the band did not press it down enough??.... or maybe you did not put it in a humidity chamber??, which might have allowed the stock and graft to dry out too quickly. Just an observation from the 2 side shots. if it took,... leave it on! Don't even try feeling if it has taken firmly. Because if you take it off there is no guarantee that it will root and start growing on it's own again. In my experience with my own first few grafts, some of the buttons did not make it. I use 2 rubber bands and superglue depending on the size of the graft.

Well,... first time I hear about cooper pedy shale oil,............ but I recently saw Alaskan oil sands docu,... and it isn't a pretty picture I tell you. High cancer rates,... waste products leaking into the river,... navitve way of life treathend..... water fowl getting a waste products bath....... one big mess. I mean, people are naming the hybrids in the ephipylum cacti whatever they want,... same happens with hylocereus cultivars...... There will come a point when the hybrids become sooooo potent that a mere scratch from a spine will send you off for days hahahaha

I did a few v-notch grafts in the past. small tricho tops to opuntia.... never used a template. always simply cut the stock and scion and then made adjustments if needed after fitting. then one strong thing elastic band. It works fine for multiple species. Always thought it was slightly better at taking as you have 2 surface areas and the scion is a bit more secure.... ( no side slipping when only using a rubber band) cool to see it done agian.

Bush terrors are caused energy fields that can swallow you up..... you get to know it and, you can exchange energy with it and make it do what you want,.... but there is a price... because there is an energy exchange........ be aware that this can significantly affect your personal life if you decide do do this. and yes they are attracted to living beings.... because they can feed off them (exchange energy with living beings). I think most animals are lively enough to avoid them at the slightest stimmulus. Us civilized people are not conditioned to see/feel it like animals do. us Some civilized people usually start feeling them as soon as it gets too intense and freak us out. Most people will however not feel it. it's harmless as long as you don't get or let yourself get overwhelemd by it,... but that takes us allot of convincing for us to get to the point to recognize it, and to stand above it........ when you show fear (meaning when you let your emotions run uncontrollably) it will become more attracted to you and the energy exchange will therefore become more intense,... and as long as you can not control your emotions,.... it will make you feel absolute fear,..and make you crazy and when you are far away in the bush this can get you in trouble and even kill you. I strongly recommend people to run hahaha,......If you get swallowed up and panic you can end up in a psyciatric ward. unless you are dead serious about giving up your personal old life and exchange it for a life partly lived in sub realities, you should approach this very carefully by starting with observation....... with time you will start seeing them...... in hilly/mountainous places with shrubs that do not affect your view are the best...... then first you need to think figure out what they look like.... they look like low energy spots (darker formless spots,... undulating,..alternating movements,....slowely moving and sometimes fast,...kind of like the auroras move and there are many more types of movement) they do not appear to everyone (only to the crazies hahaha) ..... and btw,... when they start to overwhelm a person a person usually has a strong tendecy to see faces or personify them. Just know this. anyway,... you can take this as complete and utter fairy tail or be aware of the possibilty that there is much more then we are normally aware off.
