Have a look at Noopept it's an analogue of Piracetam and is meant to be 1000X stronger, simply meaning you take far less. What is unique about Noopept is the fact that in animal models it has been shown to release Both NGF (neural growth factor) and BDNF (brain derived neurotrophic factor) both of these endogenus chemicals stimulate the groth of new dendrites and axons in the central nervous system. I think its preposterous to discount the validity of any experience given how little we know about reality. I think Dennis Mckenna put i perfectly when he said "I am here to tell you that all experience is a DRUG experience. We are made of drugs" Our perception of "reality" is entirely based on a drug experience. Breakthrough experiences on say DMT can be (and I love the term) hyper-real. How can anyone tell you that an experience you have that seems more real than consensus reality is invalid. Reality is what we experience, its subjective. Physics these days is making it fairly clear that there is no such thing as objective reality. So that makes experiences (psychadelic or otherwise) king. As far as Terrence goes. At least he stuck his neck out and did what he could for the psychedelic movement. maybe his views were a little to far one way but i think that has just brought a bit more balance to a fairly on sided consensus opinion . Maybe he didn't get everything right but when its all said and done he did devote the better part of his lift to something that a lot of us here a pretty fond of. This is straight from SAB on importation of Iboga. "Under customs law the importation of 1g of ibogaine is equivalent to importing 1g of heroin. The importation of 100g of iboga bark is equivalent to importing 100g of heroin. The importation of 1g of ibogaine dissolved in 100ml of water/alcohol (eg a tincture) is equivalent to importing 100g of heroin." So I would say yes. Quite illegal to import. It's a wonderful plant to grow though. Particularly up here in the tropics. It's flowers and fruit are beautiful. I have one just outside my bedroom window and I swear it acts as an oneirogen just growing there.

There is a heap of Barringtonia Acutangula right near where I live and I am really keen to do a bit of a bio essay but I'm a little hesitant due to its use as a fish poison. I am wondering if the fish poison part is actually the opioid like active or if it is more like some acacias that have been used to poison fish (which im pretty sure some contain Cyanide). Info on this plant seems pretty limited. Does anyone have any great insights into freshwater mangrove? I'd be really interested in learning anything anyone can share regarding this all to interesting aussie plant. Cheers

Hi, Just recieved a small voacanga africana. Has anyone grown it before or has any good advice on how best to go about it. Planing on using sharp sand and a little perlit. Obviously I have to keep it moist but also watch out for root rot. There is just so little info out the on the net about it. Also can anyone tell me at what age the plant will start to reach substantial Alkaloid levels in the root bark.
