Hi all, I just want to get together a good allround cloning mix. Just want some good suggestions on perlite, Vermiculite ratio's or any other good mediums. Also could do with any info on using my bottom heating pad, Will this make things to hot and humid as most cloning mixes use a lot of perlite and the ol' summer sun is getting hot. I think i will be trying to get some Salvia D rooted as well as some piper betel just to start with. All help much appreciated, Thanks.

Hi all, Now that its getting nice and cold with not many sunlight hours left, I was wandering if i could bring my garden indoors under standard household flouro's?, If so, How close should i have them from the lights?. Here is some of the things i want to bring indoors, Cacti(seedlings & cuttings),Khat seedlings, Withania Somnifera seedlings,Calea cuttings,Brugs cuttings and seedlings,HBWR,Coleus seedlings,Brahmi,Phalaris seedlings,Leonurus Sibiricus. Hi all, Went out to check on my plants this morning only to notice the tip missing off one of my Brugs, I wouldn't be so worried if it had more than three sets of leaves. On closer inspection i noticed a small whole in a Pach, When i looked closely, I noticed that inside it is the size of a marble. I only found one small snail on the underside of the rim of the pot. I guess it was snails that have eaten my brugs tips and a few other seedlings, But would the snails be eating my cacti?. Not bad considering when i first noticed the snail problem i used heaps of snail bait, After using snail bait it seems as though the probem is getting worse, And whats even worse is, I've got my seedlings on a table with the legs in containers of water, The snails must have grew a brain with all the bait they were eating.

Gomaos, I reckon you should sell your kids "PLAYSTATION" to me and their t.v, And then upgrade your hard drive. I'll only buy it if its a playstation 2 though. Just get them insured and say they stole it with my pushbike.

I think the beer trick might work great, But, I'm not allowed to bring alcahol into my own home, I'll get in trouble, I dont think the beer would make it, It would get consumed by me and then the shit would hit the fan. And if i didn't drink it, My bloody dogs would dig it up and drink it.lol. I think i might have to give it a go though, Cant think of anything else.

I use 1/2 a cup(120ml) of Kava, from Gomaos, Throw in a blender, Add 2 cups(500ml) of water and 1 cup(250ml) of milk, Blend for 2-5 minutes, Strain, Done. Works well.

Hi, In the "Species Data", To the left, It says, "The flowers are on the branching spandix. Female occurs solitarily at the base, The male is small, White and fragrent and SURROUNDS the solitary female". Wouldn't this mean that you only need the one to produce fruits?.

Hi darcy, I think "all" ripoff's names should be published for everyone to see so that no-one gets burned by them in the future. It's not fair that a couple of ripoffs out their spoil it all for everyone. There is so many honest, Good people out their,(like yourself), Willing to help others, But there always has to be someone waiting to take advantage. I was shocked to have you say you would send me seed before i sent cash, You have a lot of faith even in people you don't even know. Maybe if people knew their name would be posted up next to the word "rip-off" and bumped to the top every now and again to refresh peoples memories, And to warn newbies here, They might think twice before doing it. Hi all, When would be the best time to sow my poppy seed?. I know they don't really like to be transplanted, So i'll sow in their permenent position. If i was worried about cross pollination, What would be a safe distance between varieties?(if any). Thanks.

Nah, I use a plastic tube for the plant matter and let drain into the coffee jar.

I use a coffee jar, Once the butane evaporates just screw the lid on and store in a dark place.

Thats it. make sure their is enough water to end up pretty-much level with the top of the soil in the pot. Also Reville gave me some good advice, Put your pots onto a table with each leg in a bucket/container of water.
