how long does it take for the seed pods (at the same stage a in Tripitaka's pics) to be ready to pick. when is the best time to pic them? i know where a plant is that i believe is HBWR, and has seeds like those on Tripitaka's (checked yesterday), but it's a fair way from where i'm living, so i was wondering how long until i should check on it again for mature pods.....

mindle beach markets are at (surprise) mindle beach. the beach right next to the casino (pretty close to the city). just up the hill from there is the expensive/trendy area to live, cullen bay. very much not something you'd expect to find in darwin - million dollar houses and appartments surrounding a bay closed in by a mechanical lock (sp?). fanny bay is another nice (expensive) area. pretty much like anywhere, if it's on the water it's expensive. i lived in leanyer, about 30min out of the city in the suburbs, near casuarina (which is the only big shopping centre in darwin). that is quite a nice area (leanyer that is, many suburbs near casuarina are not that nice. casuarina suburb itself has had crime problems with lots of bashings while i was living there, lots of wanna-be gangsters). the nicer suburbs seem to be those that have never had councel housing in them.

as far as i know, mobiles can be tapped quite easily. not with a scanner device, but simply asking the newtwork for access to calls from a specific mobile. sms's are even more prone, as they are stored by the networks and can be viewed/reviewed by authorities at a later date. a guy in WA (gosnells) was recently reported in the paper as being arrested for drug manufacture based on evidence from 'intercepted' mobile phone calls. sms have been viewed by warrantant in relation to drug shootings (and i believe some footballers had there sms's monitored because they were associating with crime figures implicated in a shooting??). you may have also seen on the news the attempted london bus bomber that was tracked accross countries by his mobile phone.

that is actually pretty close andy. it really does sprout out of the insects head. unfortunately the insect is dead by this point, but it's pretty bizzare looking none the less. the 'herb' as traded is actually a dead caterpillar with a fungus sprouting from its head

i was just more interested in whether it was true... AFP infultrating a website, taking over admin and using that to get warrants...shouldn't they be using those resources to hunt down pedifiles or something useful??

I personally feel violated, and am very upset about what has happened, but the one thing that is important here, is that everyone knows that the old synthetikal is no -more, and was unsafe, Unfortunately no-matter where the server is, police can easily gain access to people phone accounts, and trace all members that are going to anywebsite, unless proper proxys are used, oneday, i am sure this will all be worked out, I gave it my best shot, and I hope all those back-ups lying around the place will come to good use. i asked friendly and he told me "only the outside of the seed husk, not the fluffy stuff inside". that didn't really clarify anything for me, so i was planning on asking him again for more detail :D but then, i've never seen a whole pod, so maybe i need to have a look at one and then it will be obvious to me. All the seeds have that fluffy dark stuff around them (the stuff that most people say should be scraped off to reduce sickness), and i thought that would be the only 'husk' on the seed, but i'm not 100% sure... :confused:
