what they did to the aboriginals was so wrong one of my best friends i grew up withs dad is one of the elders of the area they have done alot of archaeological all over the southwest the family does alot of great things but the stories i have been told are horrific of the slaughter and later how they were considered fauna, wildlife, animals they were'nt considered people it wasnt till the 1950's or something that they were considered citizens Australia has a very cruel dark history thats for sure

i have some roses here to foo i planned on doing a bunch of cuttings this spring once i've got a bunch of rooted cuttings ready i'll make sure i put some aside for ya mate

i had never had trouble with rats until i had a little native bush rat of some sort hanging around i dunno what it was but it was definitely a marsupial of some kind not a rat little bugger took a chunk out of one of my copiopoa hypogea ate a nice hole into the centre of a small asterias killing it took another chunk out of a large grafted superkabuto thankfully it wasnt to bad i think there was another 3 plants he got to little bastard knowing it wasnt actually a rat was the worst part i didnt want to kill it haha i managed to get a trap from one of the local DEC guys (department of environment and conservation) managed to catch him in it and went and released him in the bush he was cute lil guy haha

i only mentioned clickherex as an example if you dont like a thread dont go there you know some of the stories clickherex posts are great and im glad theyve been posted im not against clickherex at all or his posting style i think its more annoying for me that the recent topics are always all his stories haha so i have to try and find the other recent threads i apolagize for my part in degenerating this thread i just thought it seemed odd that halcyon seemed to be getting attacked just for posting it as others have stated to its a fair topic to come up i dont see why it shouldnt be here thanks for clearing that up to EG i was also under the impression that the chill space was not just for "chill" topics but rather another forum for other things like this that dont have any relevance in other forums such as cacti or whatever

i will only be planting cacti that are of the legal kind tricho's are a bit of a grey area but i probly wont be planting out any pach's thats for sure i wish something could be done to make the laws more clearer but dont worry i definitely plan on keeping it as legal as possible no lophs unfortunately its a shame i would have loved to have all that room to grow loads of beautiful lophs but no the man says your not allowed so i better just fall in line and do things properly i grow many different cacti and other plants and am happy to take cuts of anything anyone might have to plant out not just tricho's and cacti but anything really i like bonsai and grow lots of junipers and things by cuttings to so yeh im after anything really and thought i would put it out there if anyone doesnt have the room i know what its like to have to keep everything confined to pots it sucks so if anyone would like anything planted out and you can basically take what you want from it i plan on trying to do alot of wholesale stuff to other nurseries to and perhaps even bunnings if possible i know most of bunnings cacti come from collectors corner and one other cacti nursery south of perth so there isnt a whole lot of competition really and if i am providing a wide range of plants im sure i can get in there as a wholesaler i'll also be looking for some heirloom seeds to i would like to be able to grow lots of food aswell gonna plant out a bunch of fruit trees to cant wait

i just dont see why this is so inappropriate to people why could this thread not have been a constructive discussion but instead people jumped on halcyon for posting it as if he had some other kind of motive behind it i have learned in the past if you dont like a thread just dont go there theres no need to start shit about it

beautiful plant there foo is that an old pic? if you have any pups or cuts i'd love to grab one as i say the melted wax is something i've been meaning to add to my collection for a long time my girl and i are in the process of buying just over an acre of land near the bunbury area and i will be planting out a WHOLE LOT of tricho's and other cacti throughout the garden i'd be happy to trade or return some big cuts once theyve grown out a bit on my land i hope to turn this into a full blown nursery or just a small place for collectors to come visit me and grab a few plants through booked appointments or arranged meets so if anyone has anything they would like grown out and doesnt have the room for it please let me know i will be happy to plant them out on my land and you can come take as many cuts as you like in the future

i did this with 2 astro's of mine only it was alot worse they were absolutely covered in it after a while it was all brown and i thought great ive killed em theyre just gonna rot they didnt do anything until the next growing season and then they just exploded with pups aswell as the main scions grew very fast
