psychedelic art, where can I find?

That's weird, it works for me... Just go to http://r6xx.com/ and navigate to the art section. Hopefully that works because I get the feeling it most matches what you're looking for.

Depending on how freaky you want it to be... http://naotohattori.com/prints/prints.html I like a lot of that kind of stuff, might be more surrealist than you're chasing though. http://stores.ebay.com/rsconnettoriginalart http://chetzar.bigcartel.com/category/prints And here's a store that might suit your needs... http://r6xx.com/art/independent-artists/cat_1.html Don't know what your price range is, but most of this stuff is worth a look.
  3. There are a bunch of different methods so be prepared to read about a few and try them to see which ones you like. For me, it was really difficult to get into (tried the various Buddhist forms for a while) until I was introduced to several techniques by various people in my life which I then combined (I don't claim it to be original, I just don't have a name for it, maybe "Wild Sitting" ). I like to sit somewhere in nature, a regular spot if I can manage it, and just extend my senses as far as they can go. I do hearing first because that's the easiest for me. So I listen and hear everything I can, but trying not to isolate any particular sound, just listening. Then I do sight, trying to override the narrow vision we use to focus on things and instead incorporate peripheral vision as well, again - seeing everything I can see without singling anything out. Smell and touch come next, and finally taste which is usually minimal. Then I try to put them together. This works better for me than just breath awareness, for example, but I do incorporate it into my 'meditation' as well. I find that I can spend long periods of time in a tranquil, aware state, with very little effort. Of course, moments of conscious thought pop up, and so I have to not indulge them, not reject them, just watch them pass and go back in. Good luck
  4. I think it might be because when you do someone a significant favour they feel obliged to do something in return (well, non-sociopaths) and perhaps by making a promise to return the favour, they feel like they've already fulfilled their obligation. Still, there are times when I can completely understand breaking a promise. Had a teacher in highschool who promised his kids he'd take them fishing on the weekend and then his wife died, but he still took them After that he said he didn't make promises anymore... maybe people need to take giving their word on something more seriously.

    Introducing myself as well.

Maybe check again, just to be safe writing/philosophy major... last I heard all the highest paid CEOs have BAs with those majors... Yeah the degree is a blast, I've learnt a lot I doubt I'd otherwise know. (and it helped me get a job with the internet police infiltration squad)

    Decriminalisation works

Might be a bit outdated with the Czech Republic decriminalising "personal" amounts of most drugs late last year, I'm not sure if Portugal is the most liberal anymore. Despite the statistics, no doubt Australia's stance on drugs (i.e. scare tactics, misinformation) will remain the same for another few decades...
  8. Hmm... Being a complete noob to the cacti biz I had a squiz at the cuttings on the 'bay, wondering if I should start from seed or cutting (probably a trich. of some sort to start off with) - they tend to go from ~80c/cm to just over $1/cm. From what I've seen in the trade-pit, they tend to be a bit cheaper here All this bickering is doing you no good btw... one of the things that attracted me to the community (besides the wealth of info) was the generally friendly vibe you guys have going... even when you disagree it generally doesn't degrade into childish insults as quickly as most of the internet... eh, my $0.02
  9. *posting* Heh. I mean I intend to contribute where I can, but at the moment there's a bit of a learning curve for me. *Goes back to reading*
