The 2 possible damaged components are the monitor or graphics card from what you described. Check the monitor by plugging it into your laptop (or bring up the on-screen menu and see if the artefacts disappear). Assuming the monitor is fine, I would buy another graphics card (or borrow one) as its not likely to be the motherboard or anything else based on the symptoms. What happens when you go into the BIOS (press F1,escape,F10 at boot depending on system) are there still strange lines? Also, if the fan that you found not working is attached to the GFX card itself, then this could definitely be the cause of failure - graphics cards with fans do eventually fail without them. I don't believe there would be any software-based way to diagnose or fix the card.. generally components just fail completely so I am surprised you are seeing anything at all!

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me out with a viable Shiitake print? A live culture would be a bonus, but not fussy either way. I am in Perth, so would prefer to not go interstate due to our prohibitive import restrictions. Happy to compensate with cash for time / effort. I attempted to make my own live culture with sample from the local grocers... I was not overly successful
