Police in Nigeria are holding a goat on suspicion of attempted armed robbery. Vigilantes took the black and white beast to the police saying it was an armed robber who had used black magic to transform himself into a goat to escape arrest after trying to steal a Mazda 323. "The group of vigilante men came to report that while they were on patrol they saw some hoodlums attempting to rob a car. They pursued them. However one of them escaped while the other turned into a goat," Kwara state police spokesman Tunde Mohammed told Reuters by telephone. "We cannot confirm the story, but the goat is in our custody. We cannot base our information on something mystical. It is something that has to be proved scientifically, that a human being turned into a goat," he said. Belief in witchcraft is widespread in parts of Nigeria, Africa's most populous nation. Greetings guys, today i jumped directly into cactus and i have started to grow Trichocereus bridgesii from seed. Today i sow the seeds buy placing them in a large pot then covering them with some more potting mix, i gave them a gental watering and placed them outside in the shade. Im interested is there anything else that is required of me to get these seeds to germinate ? How long should i wait for them to germinate, i have read some sources saying 1 week some saying 3 months.. During this germination period do i water every time the soil is dry ? Would sticking the pot with seeds in it into a fishtank or humidity champer help at all? (QLD, Nice and Humid already, Sub tropic) Its currently raining and im considering going outside to get the pot with the castus seeds in and bring inside... is a storm ok for them in this fragile stage of there life ? i have read they grow about 30cm a year is this correct ?? Thanks looking forward to seeing the pics, I read somewhere that its a good idea to germinate them in a Takeaway container with the lid on to create a small humidity chamber, Does this help a great deal or really unnecessary? I have bought my pot in from outside today and placed it in a fishtank (with a lid on) near a window getting lots of light. From what i understand once they sprout i mist them everyday by using some water in a spray bottle? Thanks for the help, Cant wait till they sprout ill post pics when it happens.
