also try the original east coast and west coast classics - the nonce, organised konfusion, aceyalone, casual, souls of mischief, THE PHARCYDE, main source(large professor), also alot of dumiles' earlier stuff (KMD, monster island csarz) and MF GRIMM, one of dumiles' early affiliates. then there's Leaders of the New School which is busta rhymes' high school trio.... PETE ROCK and any associated collaborative work, the beatnuts' first two albums.. new kingdom (old psychedelic hip hop), The UMC's... christian hip hoppers The Boogiemonsters, rza's and method mans earlier stuff (check out Gravediggaz for RZA), there's alot of good material released by madlib and associated affiliates (check out Quasimoto, Lootpack), also his younger brother has some good stuff too (OH NO). Also Commons' earlier stuff, REALLY boom bap, completely different nowadays. also Da Bush Babees... Das EFX, Lordz of da underground.. Da Youngtas.. NICE and SMOOTH... also the late Nujabes, japanese hip hop, absolutely beautiful to listen to, i used to break to it. lastly there's O.C., an amazing dutch hip hop group called Pete Philly and Perquisite, onyx, public enemy and WORLD REKNOWN. and of course the zillions of excellent rappers and beatmakers around the world who are currently trying to get into the industry - sometimes we spend too much time with our heads in the crates and forget what's on the turntable right now. hip hop is the purest form of expression

So ahh, yeah... as much as i love to admit it, i was passing the time with the new pokemon black yesterday, and, well... check it out. > either http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Frillish or just type in 'Frillish' in google.. just about split my wig laughing in the description. "likes to float in the waves... It makes its victim numb with the use of its poison and takes it to its deep den." been scouring the net, and surprisingly NO ONE has picked up on it, yet. i mean, come on. probably because only little kids play pokemon (purportedly...)

Hey guys, pretty self explanatory, I'm recently in need of a columnar cacti fence around a rocky path, i've scrambled through my expenses, and i have a $175 + postage expenses limit. Does anyone have a whole bunch of (healthy) pach they don't really need? this is your chance to get rid of some of it. i'm aware there are some VERY CHEAP bulk orders on ebay from time to time, but, well.. they're not really there right now. can anyone make me an offer...? payment would be by bank deposit. thanks folks, hunnicutt.

...but it's so strong. rustica, that is. i smoked a SMALL bowl of some in the states a few times (where it's legal to grow), and i was SPINNING. you can definately tell there are a few other things in there besides nico. i felt slightly uplifted for an hour or two. the cured stuff tastes so beautiful, though. to those that haven't, put your rustica through a curing process (even a short, rushed one). the result is a little weaker, but i think worth it in every sense

lookin for brugmansia and t.peruvianus
TommyChesnutt replied to noshiewa's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
i know there are plenty of brugs on ebay, and alongside t. peru on the aussie ethno shops, but i suppose they all don't ship to WA... good luck, i think there are a few cacti-selling posts from a few weeks back that may still be offering t.peru relatives (if not exactly t. peru ), and some may ship to WA... -
Quill, is this a multi-branched religion? because i think i'm under a similiar chain...

Is this root rot or sunburn? (bridgesii)
TommyChesnutt replied to Eluna's topic in Cacti & Succulents
hey guys, i've found the natural cure for all rot/fungal cacti problems is to stick them in full sun, and stop watering, full stop. and this goes for most cacti species. cacti are very tough, and deserve more credit than we give them - last frost, i lost more than 50% of my cacti collection, columnars, button's, a million sorts, and i saved quite a few using this method - that being, cutting the part still firm and green, callousing, then rooting in full sun with only an initial watering. some of the cacti might get a little sunburn, but they will adapt a strong base, and core. once this happens, i've found you can then continue to water every day, etc, because the strong hardened core is established and much more water resistant. it seems cacti have TONNES of water in their flesh, they just need the dry to stimulate survival sometimes. just my thoughts, and observations. Eluna, hope all your cacti go fine -
well, many poor chinese rural communities use human manure. it's supposed to be very high in 'nutrition'...

TommyChesnutt replied to TommyChesnutt's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
why thank you i'll be sure to let y'all know if they are wrightii, and not inoxia... for knowledges' sake. -
been looking for this one for years, hoping some small collection existed somewhere in oz... the inoxia, the triple purple/yellow and the stramonium varieties are all beautiful but this one would really complete my collection. do pm me if you have this sacred species, we can settle on a price or a trade. EDIT - sorted, thanks to the person who pointed me in the right direction! LOVE THIS FORUM~!!

chasing datura meteloides/wrightii
TommyChesnutt replied to TommyChesnutt's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
they most certainly are! the seeds are germinating as i write this - come on, wrightii! -
hey guys! trich, once established, will grow in just about anything in my experience, just as long as it's free draining enough... i had a pedro half-buried in woodchips once, for lack of effort. 6 months later it had a small rootball, and two pups!

Have Humans Evolved to Believe in God?
TommyChesnutt replied to nabraxas's topic in Creativity, Spirituality & Philosophy
i think religion and spirituality was a turning point in human development. to be able to believe, that something 'might' be - the ability to imagine, and not just the neural pathway that told them "this action, results in this action." i believe this is also linked to art - the ability to perceive something, and then express it as a seperate entity. religion also helped spurn a very social complexity, and this in turn helped to develop trade, advanced language and a higher sense of awareness for surroundings(people, nature etc). having said that, it likely wasn't the be all and end all of human evolution. everything played a part, and no doubt some cultures were more spiritual than others, who developed just fine. i wonder if cro-magnans had the ability of art? anyone know the answer...? -

safe psychotria shipping question
TommyChesnutt replied to mysubtleascention's topic in Seed & Plant Swaps
subtle indeed as far as i know, a psychotria leaf in vermiculite as you suggested, would definately be a good attempt.. especially if it's sort of half established. just a guess, though. -
i also saw this and starting wondering... probably not the healthiest idea. leave it to the medicine men apprentices that don't mind going stiff as a plank.
