Random Real Life Story A few months ago on a normal everyday Monday morning i was walking around a few Parks in my area cleaning up some rubbish getting things ready to mow ( I work casually in the parks and gardens of Newcastle ) When this random bus driver was standing out the front of his bus having a morning cigarette sparked up a conversation with me. It went something like this Bus Driver- "Hey mate its a bloody shame all these kids don't pick up their rubbish their just out of control you should see the back set of my buss its covered with graffiti.... these kids just have no respect" DTB- "Yeah man it would be great but at least its keeping me in a job" Bus Driver- "lol thats true but soon we wont need jobs" DTB- I look at him with a what do you mean sort of look. Bus Driver- "Have you heard of Nikola Tesla" DTB- "I think so... was he some sort of inventor" Bus Driver- "Yeah thats the one, he was really ahead of his time, had all these great ideas about how to create free energy...... Ive been studying his work for a few years now, Next week im going on long service leave, this might sound crazy but im going to use Nikola Teslas designs to create my own source of energy and get off the grid. DTB- My jaw drops i look at this dude like you have gotta be joking. Bus Driver " Go home and look it up.... Nikola Tesla..... Free energy.... anyways im running late i might see you around another time " and just like that he jumped back in his bus waved goodbye and drove away. I haven't seen this guys since but everyday i wonder to myself has he done it yet.

As soon as i saw a little bit of black and the mold i gave the top a poke. Its had a paper thin cover that was dry and scabby looking on top. Once a small hole was poked threw and i could see the inside. It was full of mold/rot. I deiced i needed to pull the scab off to expose the squishyness that was underneath. Thanks for the help Peace

How long have you been collecting ? Your video puts my collection to shame. This is great encouragement for spring. My soil mix is normally 2 parts cactus soil mix 1 part potting mix ! part pebbles 1 part sand with a handful of gypsum but im no expert

Thanks for the ID help Ill keep the pictures coming as i find them. These came from the same lawn but a different section and they have white gills instead of black These are from a different spot, they are huge so im hoping there edible.

Today i planted three cuttings that i took a month ago. Im not sure if trying to get them to root in winter is the best idea but i thought id give it a go. I also re potted two smaller cacti These photos were taken a month ago when i took the cuttings. The first one is Trichocereus terscheckii X PsychoO I forget the name of this one maybe someone might have an idea ? These are the Cuttings One month later planted This one is my favorite, Ive had this cute little button for almost a year and its time for a re pot This one is two years old he was tiny when i got him from Bunnings. It wasn't labeled so i have no idea what he is either. And this is the whole family. The larger one in the blue pot is a Super Pedro, He is 3ish years old and was my first ever cactus. I saved him from some sort of black rot in his first year and now he is looking amazing. Im really looking forward to spring. If all goes well ill raise my first succulents from seed and give graphing a go. Peace.

Their beautiful. How old are the larger grafted buttons in the first picture? If you would care to explain which plants you uses to graft your buttons to and how much it speeds up their growth, id love to learn from your experience.

Has anyone ever had there packages confiscated by customs ? Is the Root Bark illegal? Or is it the what people plan on doing with it thats illegal? I ask because its an amazing natural purple dye and i dont think its illegal to be dying Tshirts.

3 years ago my buddy had a road side swab test in the Newcastle area. He had toked up 20 mins before being pulled over and had a really nice buzz going. After the scare of his life he passed the test and was free to drive away. Strange
