Why you should NOT smoke Salvia divinorum!

    its not strong enough already?

    Underwater Entheogens?

One of interest if you haven't discovered it already is the Blue Lotus and related species. I just received some seeds for it actually, and they're lilly pads basically that eventually grow a flower. I have yet to plant them but when I do it will be in a fish tank

How do you water a peyote cactus?

lol oh man LED's are expensive, I'm using HID-- quite the opposite... HIDs are relatively inefficient and a big power waster compared to LED. Fluoros are better on energy but lack the oomf to kick out enough juice to power a garden without constant manipulation. I wish I could get an LED set up, maybe one day.

How do you water a peyote cactus?

hey mate Light and Love, to answer your question on why on earth would anyone bother growing any type of plant besides illegal ones indoors under a grow-light, well I'm growing in Canada and right now (and even in the mid summer) an indoor HID environment is still more of a tropical environment than outside lol. Especially now, going into the winter months, when the temperature can drop to -30*c !! burrrr. Plus, just for the sheer fun of it? I love gardening lol. No harm in it. the 400watt Metal Halide bulb runs us about 60$ every 3 months. We get a 1 month billing cycle, so it ends up being 20bucks a month If I run it 24/7... but I'm only running it 18 so it only ends up being around 16$ a month. --Also, It probably wouldn't show a spike, considering its only 400 watts. If you think about it, thats only four of those oldschool incandescent hundred watt burners of just a few years ago. --In the summertime we run Thousand watt Air conditioners and I in my room have a tiny thousand watt space heater for the winter months. Plus theres nothing illegal about having an MH bulb right
  6. Hey hey A few years back My friend and I bought a Peyote cactus mother, with four or so pupps. I transplanted it into cactus soil, watered it sparingly (I think maybe still to much), it was placed in a window with a fair bit of light. It soon turned brown and shriveled up. I'm thinking I probably overdid it with the watering, The bowl it was in also didn't have any drainage holes but I thought I could compensate by not watering alot. I'm still thinking I overwatered, but im wondering if anyone else has had that problem or knows what the solution was, as I'm planning on getting a new cactus soon. Also any tips in general about cactus keeping would be appreciated. Watering? how does one go about watering a peyote cactus? How often? and what food?? thats my biggest question. I'm going to be growing them inside, under a 400w MH sun. --Any specifics on growing indoors too? Thanks friends, peace and love

    Identifying Argyriea strain by leaf??

Is it possible to identify which species of Argyriea Nervosa i have by the leaves? I got my seeds from a shop called Sacred Seed in Toronto and some of the seeds looked different than the others. I've got two plants and I'm not sure if they are different species, of if I'm stunting one some how. Any knowledge out there on the matter??? thanks P.S. Here are the different "species" In these pictures, they are fairly similar in age and

Hey everybody, I've gotten a new lighting system and I think its paying off! I got myself a standard 400w MH 4000k. Here are some new pictures of my grow area in general, and specifically my Hawaiian Baby Woodrose from the earlier posts. I've also included photos of my new plant. I think it's a different strain of baby woodrose because the leaves are much much smaller than the other plant, I think the seed looked different too. P.S. Each plant in my room is legal. The plants I've currently got growing aside from my baby woodrose are morning glory heavenly blue, hot Chilli peppers, and a small tomatoe plant. Soon I'm planting some indoor string beans **edit I've planted the string beans and the sprouts are doing great ^.^** and some indoor green peas! I had some nice indoor green peas last winter. P.S.S. || I found a pic of the hbwr in a state between the newer pics and the old pics in the post earlier, so I've included that one ontop || __________________________________________________________ Current photos HBWR #2 __________________________________________________________ P.S.S.S. Here is a closeup of the pepper plant--its actually a collection of 12 small sprouts. Its growing SO fast its crazy!! And thats about it!
  9. Hey I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge of plant species which contain DMT that were decent for cooler climates having cold winters, Or even something to move inside during the winter... Besides Phalaris grass, I've read that there are impurities in it that can make the trip itself wrather uncomfortable-- not what I'm looking for. Mimosa looks promising, anyone know how long it takes to get a decent root system out of it??

For your indoor morning glories, did you need to pollinate with a Q-tip or did it do it itself??

    Aqua Ponics

I'm in the process of setting up an aquaponics system right now too! Mine is going to be a very simple design.. I'm going to float a sheet of styrofoam with net baskets with plants on a fish tank with 20 gold feeder fish, 27cents each. I'm adding an airstone to the bottom to add oxygen to the roots and to stirr the fish waste around (lol) Very simple design, I've read that this method doesnt require to much tank cleaning Maybe the occasional algea swipe. I'm not sure which plaants i'm going to grow, I've been thinking about HBWR but it seems to prone to root rot for a deep water system... I was thinking along the lines of morning glory, I've had success growing Hydroponic Morning Glory--Mind you it grows like a bat outta hell so I'm not to sure how i'm going to control it. For me it's more of a project, while my other plants grow ----Also I found fish food for 1$ at the dollar store
