    Think it's over?...

If the tears and tantrums were so frequent that they outweighed the good, stable and boring times then it can't be sustainable long term. Combine that with distance, then in my eyes you should definitely be 'ditchin that gash'. I've been with my partner for almost 7 years now and although we've had our ups and downs, we only really have big fights a couple times a year which is healthy in my eyes. I've seen too many friends involved in unstable relationships that is just constant drama and misery, and after having intense and emotional relationships personally in the past which were just draining I'm glad to be in a comparatively boring relationship.

Need a new housemate in Sydney

So, my housemate is moving out very soon and need somebody ASAP to fill his room. It's a 2 bedroom bottom floor apartment in Petersham, a minute away from the station, shops and bus stops. 1940's double brick walls with big bedrooms. My partner and I comfortably share one and is plenty spacious still. $350 per fortnight rent plus net and utilities. Looking for a reliable, open-minded, cat friendly, and down to earth person to fill the void of the leaving individual. PM if anybody is interested or have friends that are interested.

    us to expand internet wiretaps

...this shit also really concerns me as I am currently studying for the first time with a long term career objective in networking because I know that in 10 years time the gap of companies and jobs whose practices do not offend my ethical stances is going to be fucking narrow.

    us to expand internet wiretaps

Forcing software developers into creating backdoors for them and announcing to the world that they are going to be created is like telling ALL the hackers in the world that there will be way in and all they have to do is look hard enough for a means of exploiting it.

    Article on 'illegal bush doofs'

I dunno how things are now but I remember when I went to my first parties at 17 around Sydney and Newcastle region I felt as if I was the youngest person there... Was about 8 years ago, main stage sets were always pure (psy and tech) trance as opposed to the funky glitch stuff that seems to be becoming a staple now. Around that age I met a few NNSW girls around my age that said they started going to parties at 14 or so which spun me out. Talking to my house mate from Bello and a few others around my age that grew up around Coffs area apparently drunken teenagers at parties was much more common for them merely because there wasn't much else happening on weekends for them. Exactly. My mates up on the Central Coast used to take their rigs, decks and gennies out into the bush and throw parties all the time and I used to have a dig at em for calling them doofs because they almost exclusively played dnb and early dubstep since despite eating shitloads of acid still all hated psy with a vengeance.

    Sydney to Mullumbimby road trip

Yeah I reckon that's some sound advice unless time is a factor. I love Barrington Tops. Can knock off Syd to NNSW run in around 10 hours sticking to speed limit but much nicer to take a scenic route and stop off somewhere over night. Armadale to Dorrigo NP isn't a bad way to go about it.

    Sending plants through the mail

Well answered Obtuse. Normally I'm more helpful than UTFSE but I answered this question a couple months ago in good detail. Reduce transpiration loss and keep root system moist with sphagnum moss. Important to note that if sending from mainland to Tas you cannot have soil in the package.

Bush survival skills 101 - sab style

Know your weeds and what you can do with em.., they can be good food sources and likely to be fucking everywhere you go which is easier than learning all the bush foods for each geographic location you travel. http://www.survival.org.au/bushfood_weeds.php

    Basic Encryption

Not a bad guide... good to understand why public keys and private keys are necessary for secure encryption these days which is pretty well explained in this diagram. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4d/PGP_diagram.svg Ultimately when it comes down to communication unless you can guarantee anonymity on both sides encryption is only of certain use to you. Pretty sure in Australia you get charged if you don't provide the key to decrypt on seized files... so if they intercept any communication or files between the two parties then you choose between whether the information encrypted is going to land you more time in prison then not providing the keys to them. There are means of being able to conceal small segments of data on your hard drive by memory, which would probably work in a way that disguises the data by way of cluster allocation. PGP is otherwise great, just not wise to send keys between addresses unless you know for certain that there cannot be any means of it being intercepted along the way (i.e. man in the middle attacks)

    Home Made Propagation Box

Planthelper, as usual, has it right, plastic bottles for cuttings for all the reasons people have already said. Seed trays I'd just usually find a larger deeper container and use glad wrap with holes poked, and let it air out during the day warmer parts of the day. Besides from that I have had good experiences using 'mini-greenhouses' - basically just a frame with with a couple of racks enclosed in thick plastic will do, but found the ones you can buy easier because are easily opened by zipper and thats necessary to allowed to air out a bit in the warmer months,

    Red and Green Khat growing

I say nay to all your concerns - though it might might not take too kindly to heavy frosts. Cathas don't need to be spoiled... they are used to pretty severe conditions and have adapted likewise. They don't like being kept in pots - that's all I have to mention from experience. Normal high quality potting mix is fine, through in a lil prop sand if you wanna ensure drainage. If you're gonna keep in pots then pot up into big pots with good mix so plenty of root space, and replace mix at least yearly. In pots it'll reach a size where you can't really do much more to get them to grow any larger. Personally I recommend putting into ground when grown beyond a 4inch tube size. They'll grow pretty quickly and get very big from experience... I have some 'neglected' trees at parents house that have been left to do their own thing and definitely should have been topped a long time ago - things are about 20+ft tall. Green narrow leaf I found grows more tree like (vertically, main trunk etc) whereas red broad leaf tended to sucker out heaps more in younger years - which is great propagation material as you can take rooted sections off.

Man caught with 700 LSD tabs

Well the alcohol is a no brainer but long since evaporated. Isopropyl if used can leave a bit of a nasty after taste\smell but in most cases ethanol seems to be used but dogs wouldn't be trained to detect either. Then there is always left over impurities depending on the synth used. Crystal products aren't exactly indicative of purity and synth routes are pretty fucking difficult so byproducts will always be present and that is most likely what they sniff for - that and the degradation of such things. Training dogs to sniff acid based on this so called "Sigma PseudoTM Narcotic Scent LSD formulation" would be in my guess pretty pointless. Also reading the MSDS of this stuff sounds they haven't exactly done much testing on the product to examine its safety. Sniffer dogs seem to be wrong most of the time anyway. I've carried paper past dogs once before and they didn't bat an eyelid.

    Rivea corymbosa will not flower.

If you're not willing to wait until it's ready to flower on it's own then only a couple of ways I could think you could make it flower: First is to try waiting until it's correct flowering season and hurting it i.e. change the soil pH so it starts suffering from a nutrient deficiency and thinks it's going to die. Second get yourself some plant hormone flowering agent and dose it up. Not great advice but don't know what else to suggest.

    Everyone loves a Bridgesii tree

Seen some monster pachs in my life but a bridgesii that size is quite a find. Go knock on the door and ask if they'd mind you taking some cuttings. If the owners are elderly then they usually are happy to see a younger person interested in gardening. People usually wouldn't notice if a few limbs went missing but it's just common courtesy to ask first in my opinion. If you knock to ask and the person answering is an abusive bogan then a night raid is fair game in my eyes, but most reasonable people won't object to you taking a limb or two if you ask em first.
