    Giant pumpkin seeds

It is easy to get Atlantic Giants from Eden Seeds but they tend to only grow to around 30kg. There are sites in Australia that sell competition seeds but they are relatively expensive. The US seems to be the best source for these seeds.
  2. Anyone notice the housing price boom when John Howard was Prime Minister. Coincided with his children being of the age to be in ownership of their first properties and hence benefit from the price rise: i.e. his government created conditions to allow a housing price bubble. Everyone who dreams of owning for the first time after this event is effectively priced out of the market!

    Isocol

I got this info from http://www.elmhurst.edu/~chm/vchembook/568denaturation.html A 70% alcohol solution is used as a disinfectant on the skin. This concentration of alcohol is able to penetrate the bacterial cell wall and denature the proteins and enzymes inside of the cell. A 95% alcohol solution merely coagulates the protein on the outside of the cell wall and prevents any alcohol from entering the cell. Alcohol denatures proteins by disrupting the side chain intramolecular hydrogen bonding. New hydrogen bonds are formed instead between the new alcohol molecule and the protein side chains.

    Growing plants in sawdust

Unless the waxy parts of the cells (lignum /cellulose ) are broken down the saw dust is difficult to wet again after it dries out.

    Fellow Cactofiles

There is a beautiful cactus garden there if you find yourself out that way. The son runs it now after his father passed away. The town itself is worth a visit, and follow the car doors to the garden. Probably the best coffee in the west there too.

Sorry if I seem harsh, I just don't think it is possible to recreate visually.

    A Scanner Darkley

Read the book. It is by far better. It doesn't tell you what substance D is until the last page. And there is no way the movie does justice to the scramble suit. With Philip K. Dick it is barely imaginable. The beauty of his writing is that reality is not quite conceivable, whereas a movie attempts a concrete representation. "Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away."

    beekeeping

If you ever get a hive, requeening is amazing. Not the requeening itself, but that the queen comes in the post in a standard sized letter, in a little cage about the size of a matchbox, with her 5 or six attendants!

Cannabis To Be Trialed in the Nimbin Valley

4:20 registration? Is it April? (like 420?) And November 11 - Armistice Day OR the Day Ned Kelly was hung? Excuse all the question marks but normally this kind of thing needs an act of parliament

    Any rum drinkers?

Where did you get the rum? Once in India, I drank scotch with my landlord as this seems to be the drink of choice. You know how here they say 10 year old or 12 year old or such, my whiskey had a stamp on it with the date 2 weeks previous. The next morning it felt like my stomach had been scoured with steel wool. Bring on the Old Monk! (which part of India?)
