  1. ega workshop link

I thought i might start a thread for all those interested in the topic of tuesdays post EGA breathwork workshop- ritual/charismatic breathwork.

this thread would probably also serve well for check in/ exploration of the experience,by attendees, post workshop integration.

The workshop is offered through the ega program by a close friend of mine, and fellow Gestalt student, Gregg Lahood. You can book in for the workshop, and make last minute RSVP's, or enquiries, by emailing Gregg on the email provided below.

Where: CERES Park, The Learning Centre, 8 Lee Street, Brunswick East.

    When: Tuesday 7th of December @ 8.30/9.00 am - 6.30-7.00pm

Cost: $80pp, or $65 for EGA ticket holders.

    Capacity: 30 places only

    Contact: [email protected]

This workshop will model an organic approach to somatic healing, self-creation, and spiritual regeneration which relies almost entirely on the self-generated healing powers of the participant – and the co-creation of a relaxed and sacred environment by the group. Breathwork enables an encounter with the unconscious wounds, early traumas, or accidents that shape the way we relate to our worlds – so we will need both courage and support. Feeling unfelt or unreachable feelings and energies allows us to re-evaluate our experience with more information and enables us re-create our lives from a place of intention.

We work in dyads taking turns to breathe. Each session lasts around 2 hours – so one in the morning and one during the afternoon after lunch and resting. The breathing can and will bring our ‘stuff’ to the surface in the form of a somatic release - we use some client directed bodywork to complete the gestalt/session – if need be. Afterwards it is useful and integrative to draw a symbolic map of your journey and use this creative expression for integration and the sharing circle.

I have for twenty years or more facilitated breathwork groups in Australasia and England and still love it. I trained many years ago with Stanislav Grof in holotropic breathwork but also in primal integration, rebirthing, transpersonal breathwork and gestalt therapy. I was attracted to anything that had to do with bodywork and breathe but also the interface between theatre, ritual and therapy. Over the years I have developed my own way of working which to me means a more embodied, relational style of working with people.

I held a charismatic ritual breathwork weekend at our property on the north coast, with a group of close friends, about three months ago, and was quite surprised at the depth and intensity of experiences and healing that was evoked through the simple act of ceremonial/ritualised group breathing.

I would liken it in part to some of the sacrament oriented ceremonies i have witnessed, however a lot more user friendly and 'accessible'.

Some of my close friends went into states of deep emotional regression/catharsis, at times the space was akin to some kind of group exorcism. However for me, i simply went into a state of deep bliss and a profound sense of wellbeing fell upon me, which lasted for days.

Gregg explained the many archetypes of experience that can be evoked, through Grof's 'peri natal' framework. He also did some bodywork in conjunction with the breathwork.

I think this workshop would be highly beneficial to anyone interested in healing and altered states of consciousness. what strikes me about this work is the accessibility and legality of the work, and how due to its nature, Of being a particiapnt/individual created and controlled healing process, it can be 'stopped' and easily navigated at anytime if the intensity goes beyond the individuals capacities..

I hope to see some of you on tuesday!

    regards

    eli

  2. i think, in australia, it is more like "what land DOESN'T have spiritual significance".

I mean, the dreaming stories and rites and rituals were pretty specific, localised, and upheld.. until we came along.

Personally, i have had some pretty powerfull and notable connections to the land almost everywhere i have been. It seems there is always a 'power place' within proximity to almost anywhere i can think of.

specifically- Mt buffallo, Mt warning(wollumbin), Middle Brother, Katoomba gorge, Wollembi & Watagans, Barrington tops, the caldera, Broughton Island, Broken head, Bermagui-eden & surrounds.

When i spent time up past the bloomfield track FNQ, i remember thinking that it was like the whole place was super amped and energised, like i was walking through somekind of constant portal/vortex of crystaline matrix energy. some of the waterfalls and creeks up there are about as close to 'the source' as i could ever possibly imagine.

Where im living now, i look straight onto wollumbin, with sphinx rock to the right, and the pinnacle to my left. It has been called the sacred triangle, as the bundjalung recognise these three main points of energy, and the area within the triangle they create, to be of particularly strong spiritual energy and significance.

I guess once you 'tap in' to the feed, you carry it and connect to it wherever you go.. just with different variations and characteristics according to the specifics of the land you are walking.

    great thread :innocent_n:

  3. we were experiencing visual/perceptory disturbance/ squiffyness all evening and into the night. I have also been feeling more energetic/clear and sharp, which i attribute to the coalescing of many different factors. But i do consider us to be 'electrical' beings, and spiritual shifting to be an electro magnetic process, so it would make sense to me that as the earth takes on increasing or differing amounts of celestial energy, so too our energy being grows/changes

    reminds me that

we are all evolving to a fluctuating vibration of cosmic energy ;-)

  4. with the rhodiola, from my research i seem to remember that as seedlings they would do better inside during winter, at least for the first year. If you are able to find good seed stock please let me know, i would be interested in as much verified Scandinavian seed as possible. Its a mission i had hoped to do whilst staying in Sweden but i didnt get a chance.

also, outdoor bedding woodlovers would be a good project for over there!

  5. Yeah I've heard that one too. We debated this one on Bluelight and came to the conclusion that it would be impossible to press paper acid inside a pill. Even if the litmus paper was shredded or something the dosages would all be inconsistent. There was one confirmed pill with LSD on Pillreports and they were the Bermuda Triangles from a few years back. They were big pills though.

yeah these were HUGE pills.. And when you cracked them open there was a full tab in their centre. Not sure of the print, would have been around 2001- 2002

  6. back in the early 90's when E's really packed a punch people used to say that they were the perfect designer drug because they had the trippyness ov LSD, some speed to keep it going & a heroin hit to mellow it all out...I don't mean that people actually thought that E contained LSD, speed & smack, but that it seemed as though they had been designed to emulate a combination ov those 3.

Thats the exact description i would give for the only REALLY good e's i ever came accross. Even through plenty of experimentation and searching ive never been able to re-create the near perfect space created within the neural alchemy of that particular blend. It is common practice to blend all sorts of different substances into a pill batch for designer effects. I remember particular batch of imports getting around in the late 90's that had full tabs of rolling stones acid actually encased inside the pill.

One could almost consider it an artform if done with the right intent (i.e the experience).

Sadly the culture is swamped with mass media and advertising these days from what i have observed. (its been close to 5 years since i have consumed a pill, due to the apparent gutter dive the quality and energy has taken).

On topic- i would think combining rue and opium would be potentially dangerous no?

Being an adrenaphobe, i have often accompanied any extreme lysergic states with a gabba buffer such as clonazepam. And in general have found small amounts of diazepam to allow for smoother transition between worlds, however it is also worth noting that much of the 'friction' experienced can be percieved as an important part of the journey, thus journies accompanied by marshmallows and pillows are recreational in all senses of the word.. leaving the catharsis to therapeutic and healing pursuits.

  7. up in the border ranges, on the other side of the ridge from nimbin, there are two beautiful camp sites..

not sure of the name. But really the drive through the border ranges and the look out up at black but is a must do. there are also some interesting fungi growing this time of year up there. freezing tho!

enjoy! (and maybe drop through for a hello on your way)
