I'ma guess salvia leucantha, or mexican bush sage... Wiki List of Salvia Species

zshare link I know that there are quite a few psy lovers round these parts, I wanna see if anyone can name an artist or track that I used for this mix before I post the track list.

For cacti seedlings I'd suggest trying a T5 or T8 fluoro setup before using the HID stuff. They use lots less electricity and are easier to setup/handle. Plus a HID lamp is sorta overkill for cacti seedlings. They enjoy lots of light and a fluoro bulb is perfect.

That's quite a nice setup! Here's what we used this last time: Hooray for psytrance! -
Did they ban your Zaorr account at the nook too Teotz'?

I dunno bout that big one Teotz', it looks like that big one has been in prime growing conditions (lots of water, well taken care of) for some time. I politely disagree with you about that particular plant being harvested from the wild. Poachers do suck, and that is a problem. But do you think that most people who are going out and taking wild cacti are really killing off wild populations so as to endanger the survival of these cacti? Maybe in some areas that are easily accessable to people, but I can assure you that there are wild populations out there that haven't been seen by people for years and years. I agree with you that some people do not get it or do not care but don't worry yourself about them so much. Nature is a vast and great place. People can really only mess things up for themselves, nature on the other hand will always recover.

Euphorbia of some sort?

Hey! SS doesn't have to be making money from their catalog sales, BUT I'm sure they enjoy covering the costs of putting stuff out there. But yeah, I can see no one here likes my opinion so whatever. My whole point was that of consideration. Just to get folks to stop for one second and think about something other than themselves or their own personal interests. I can really tell you like to argue Torty. That's fine and all. I never attacked anyone here or even was, imo, rude. So G'day mate!

Teotz~ No I did not miss the fact that you asked after I said something. I don't have a problem. What I was stating up there was what happened. A re-iteration. That's all. I'm sorry it has confused you. I'm not saying I have a problem at all with what you are doing so long as you are considerate of SS.
-
Well here are the facts as I understand them: 1. I pay for their catalog. 2. I think others should have to pay for the same things I do, at least in this regard. 3. There is a reason SS charges for their catalog. It goes to support their business. 4. Teotz was just giving away this stuff to folks who actually should be paying for it themselves. 5. If SS wanted this info just given away they would do it themselves as opposed to charging for it. 6. It is really just a couple of bucks for the catalog and rare plants list anyway. A fair amount of folks just send for the catalog/list and end up not ordering plants anyway. 7. Not really a fact, but what's wrong with just a little bit of consideration and respect for the company? I didn't say that Teotz shouldn't do what he did, I just pointed out that perhaps asking SS if he could reprint stuff of theirs that they charge lots of other people for would be very considerate.
-
No, I'm not affiliated with SS, but I do have quite a bit of respect for what they do. They are pretty much a small ma and pa mail order business. So yes, there is a reason they charge for their catalog. Its a BUSINESS. They sell things for money. What and you are Teotz? Its not hard to talk to the owner of a business, especially when they have contact information that is avaliable to the public. Trolling aside, have some respect for what their company does. Don't try to act like some internets veteran, I watched you get boo'd outa the shroomery, and then the nook. These aussies sure are a kind and patient people to have tolerated you here for as long as they have. And this post makes it three, Dr. Post Counter.
-
Hey gilligan, have you considered purchasing a catalog yourself? I'm sure the proceeds go to help run a wonderful business that grows many rare cultivars. They ship seed anywhere in the world, just no plants outside the USA.
-
Teotz, I think the reason why SS keeps a low profile and doesn't post their seed lists on the net is because they don't want to become super well known. You might want to be considerate of the folks who run SS and grow all the amazing plants and perhaps ask them first if its okay if you posts their stuff online. I mean, they make everyone else who wants to see what they have PURCHASE a catalog. And your just giving it away. Sharing is nice and all, but you should make sure you're not stepping on someone else's toes when you choose to do so. Being considerate goes a long ways.
