Told you you need to electrocute them!

I tried irradiating seeds a few years ago with x-rays. Either the seeds didn't germinate or were normal.

    loph graft help!

Selenicereus is a great grafting stock. I find it good for the scions that are a bit too big for peres, but a bit too small or Trichs.

    HELP! MEALY BUGS!!!

EG's idea is bang on: "Try adding some Neem to the Mix! I´d also add some Soap to the mix in order to kill them!" I've used this many times on other succulents with good success.
  4. Auxin, I'd be very interested to learn more about what you are trying and how it is working. Nitty gritty details etc. Cultivar has a few articles about irradiation and cactus, but at least on the web, they do not post their specific parameters they used to induce the mutations. Link 1 Link 2
  5. Ace, thanks for the info. Kada, beautiful pictures, thanks! Amazing how similar they look even when they are that young:)
  6. Ace- if you have any further information/photos regarding the differences between seedlings, they would be much appreciated.

Opuntia Stricta - aka prickly pear

Watertrade, My experience with Opuntia has been the same. My seedlings take, but then just wither away.
