The truth of the story is. Nat is a person. He has grown and given away so many cactus over the years. Alot of those skinny wicked looking bridges he grew from seed and they're all really good plants to have in the garden. Nats a humble guy and is a really awesome grower and isn't a big fan of cactus names, only star ratings. So there really are so many nats. Some have gained particular fame. But the truth is there are no bad ones and if there ever was Nat would woodchipper them for the good of the future genetics of trichocereus. That's probably a four star plant

Ok guys, anyone interested in another giant pumpkin contest this year? Previous years have sorted the wheat from the chaff in the growing world. Sab giant pumpkin growing champion is a very highly regarded title in the plant community and achieving this highest rank can open more doors than joining the masons!. Time to think about getting some seeds and digging in some poop if you keen. Pumpking (notice spelling) contest terms and conditions! 1) no breaking any state or federal laws, but all other pumpkin dopeing, genetic modification, steroids, radioactive laser beams, harrp machines, fetilisers, etc. etc, is ok 2) seeds must be sewed 1st september or later, no soaking before this time. 3) you must grow the pumpkin, not your mum, dad, uncle bob etc, 4) to have a valid entry, you must post picture updates. Winners to receive tie dye pumpkin t shirts made by my wife in any size you like and bragging right for the rest of your life So whos in?

I looked at Bunnings for the giant marrow seeds but couldnt find any. Not even any marrow seeds at all. Has anyone else seen them?

How about October long weekend start?

I reckon if we can all get the same seed from Bunnings then it's pretty fair too

Pumpkins are a bit old hat anyway. Giant marrows would be kick arse or maybe gourds?

What location are you in?

awesome mate, well done. it really is a fun hobby. dont be worried about tipping a few runs back in if you miss the heads and tails. you cant really go wrong if your willing to tip it back in and do it again if you need too. Any still really will do the job as long as it dont leak or have steam coming out the condensor end. but if that thermometer isnt that good, maybe replacing that with a good one will help you a lot. After a few runs youll learn to see heads and tails by temperature changes. Let us know how you go
