----ON HOLD FOR WINTER----- STILL VERY MUCH ACTIVE THOUGH-----SEND ME A PM AND TEE SOMETHING UP FOR AUGUST------- Howdy, this is a wanted add for bulk trichocereus, anything from 50 ft to 100ft, mixed or one type, offering pick up and cash, $15 per foot for healthy growth, 10-12$ for damaged or unhealthy growth. prices are for named clones, named crosses or exceptional plants. I don't want 100ft of untagged muts. I will take PC but at a heavily discounted price. I will travel probably further than you think to collect large amounts, anything considered, if you draw a straight line from Adelaide to Sydney, anything south of that line shouldn't be a problem. I realize the price is low in some peoples mind but I have come to this price after considering all the costs involved and the fact that you can get rid of your cactus in one swoop and get a decent wad of cash. before you all jump on me and say im dreaming this add is designed for people who want to get rid of their cactus but don't have the time to cut it, dry it and then ship it out bit by bit over a long period of time. would prefer contact by PM please. EDIT I can extend this to the barrier hwy/ A32 and for folk beyond there I will drive that far to meet you for 100ft and above, so folks from QLD and NNSW I would drive to dubbo to meet you. Cacti must be transported well and undamaged. EDIT 2 happy to take smaller amounts for the same prices around Melbourne, say 200km radius from the city.

Hi all, the full moons coming soon and my valerian seems large enough to harvest some roots, ive never done it before and just wondering how i might go about it. im guessing its pretty simple but just wanted to check if there are any dos and donts that a novice like myself might be unaware of. at this stage my plan is to wash of the soil as best i can, harvest a sustainable amount of root, dry it out of direct sunlight, and then store in the freezer.

DONT SEND ME SEEDS, BECAUSE IM NOT SENDING YOURS
pinegapcontrol posted a topic in Cacti & Succulents
title says it all, Im done with this place, you can consider everything from this point on null and void. shit on my ratings, go on shit, see if I fucking care. if you've sent me money your boxes will be sent. but im not spending 20 hours dividing up seed to get shat on at every occasion. you few peeps will get some seed, I hope you know who you are, but there will be no giveaways this year. what a fool I feel like for doing last years.. -

could all the people who have previously expressed interest in Valida seed please contact me again, with your username and "valida" as the topic of the message. I have well and truly over committed myself so will do my best to sort everyone out. sorry about this, some people I remember but others I do not.

do you mean the column or the stump wert, the column I must admit if you wanna play it safe let it callous before planting but ime as long as you keep everything bone dry you can plant it straight up. the stump, Is this what your (wert or halcyon) suggesting should be de potted and left to heal? I don't think that's necessary at all, as long as you keep it undercover and out of the rain. yes eyann that stump will pup. if you wanted to you could cut it into lengths until all your left with is the fatter growth, then replant. and then plant the lengths as stumps as well.

I love a sunburnt country, a land of sweeping plains, of ragged mountain ranges, of droughts and flooding rains.... its the flooding rains that concern me, ive been told it never lasts more than a day so should all be sweet. will make for a cool photo anyway. -

cereus jamacaru and cereus validus from mystical oyster -
I should clarify, with the column it wouldn't hurt to cut it flat before replanting, but the stump should be fine, I see no reason why it would rot if you keep it out of the rain.
-
with crisis there is opportunity, you've just doubled your stocks, just keep both pots completely dry for a few weeks and it should all be fine, the replanted column will be fine to pot up straight away as long as you keep the soil bone dry, and seeing as it has no roots you can pick it up occasionally and keep an eye on it for rot. for the stump just keep it out of the rain for a few weeks to let the cut heal up, I don't see any need to flatten the cut but that's just my opinion. not the greatest time of year for this to happen but it should be all good. anyway, im sure someone will disagree with me about a few things but that's what I would do.
