Bad news about KTBotanicals and Kiwiboancaya

This does not supprise me at all, and not due to ktbotanicals at all. AFAIK they are not operating anymore, but the former owner now runs a kava bar about an hour or two from my property. He was a great vendor ime. Years ago I visited the Brooklyn botanical garden in new York city, and stole a tiny cutting of their kava plant....upon getting it home I learned it was also piper atrium. I have tried to contact the gardens via email to no response. Next time I am in nyc I may go and see if I can get them to relate the plant. So I am not supprised, as one of the most well known botanical gardens in the states also has this plant Id problem and refuses to address it.

    freaks!!!!

why do you suppose you got so many variegates from the try of first two crosses pictured? any of the parents variegated? i notice two small seedlings in the front of the third picture that are smaller and look globular...its hard to tell as there is a little relection from the sun obscuring its finer details, but its that a non trich seedling? is there anything you might be doing, or if all the seed came from the same source, that they might be doing, that would give the large number of variegates? or did you weed these out of thousands of seedlings?

    Cristate growth and i.ds

post an update of the plant you think might be cresting in a few more weeks. it may be just losing a rib, but if it looks like another growing point has formed this is called dichotomy. if this has happened the plant will continue growing from two points, becoming a "two headed" trichocereus (peruvianus???)

    Nigella Sativa seed oil

shak, how did you find it more effective? i dont mean to be rude or accusatory but it sounds like you are spamming your brand of oil. if so, you could still have useful input. perhaps you would like to expound on the effects of mixing the seed oil(that you promote, sell, and that is associated with your name) with illegal and highly addictive narcotics? if you are not spamming and your first two posts on the board just happen to be advertising a product and website, then i apologize but...this does not seem likely, and you might want to reconsider marketing a legal supplement as a good admixture for illegal, demonized, and highly addictive drugs, as that is what this thread is about.

    OC and aya

i dont know about you guys, but stopping the meds for "48-72 hours" and then using ayahuasca seems like a PROFOUNDLY bad idea. if someone is prescribed a daily dose of oxycodone during that time they will be deep in opiate withdrawl, a pretty hellish space that it would seem both mentally and physically dangerous and unpleasant to use ayahuasca while in the throes of. for one, b. caapi is a reversible MAOI inhibitor, and does not carry many of the dangers that non reversible ones do, such as moclobemide. maybe someone who is more versed on the matter could describe these differences and comment on whether or not the differences are relevant to opiate use combined with MAOI's, if there was even a drug interaction to worry about in the first place? and secondly, someone who is on a daily, maintenance dose of oxycodone will not experience the same kind of high a non tolerant user or recreational user that is always taking higher doses to get effects does. as you build tolerance to the dose you are on, and the high is not as powerful, the worries about respiratory depression lessen. how long has the person been using oxycodone, what is the dose, and what effects do they get from it? if someone is pretty tolerant to their dose and no longer feels like they get "fucked up" when using their medication i wouldnt worry about respiratory depression to much. i would likely just cut the dose back by a little bit to account for any potentiation of respiratory depression by the aya. the religious and traditional implications behind not using the OC while drinking aya i understand, but as far as drug interactions go, if the person is opiate tolerant and dependent, it seems far less dangerous for them to remain on the OC while drinking aya than it does for them to stop OC for 2-3 days and then use aya.

    Ethno's vs mdma

the mdma experience is soooooo much deeper than just the euphoria and pleasurable tactile sensations. if thats all you are looking for sceletium can produce a similar combo of euphoria, energy, tingliness, and wanting to melt into the couch...but mdma is so much more. emotional and psychological healing, like a therapist. in the same vein as psychedelics it can open your eyes to countless new possibilities and help you reorient yourself. ive seen quite a few of these lists trying to find a plant that is close to mdma and afaik there just isnt one. every list is a list of plants that cause euphoria or increased tactile sensation, and thats about it, none of the plants listed, with the exception of mescaline/trichocereus, can even come close to producing the full, rich, and meaningful experiences that mdma provides.

    i'm heavily spined!...how to remove?

for spines like opuntia glochids a strip of strong tape works wonders. apply duct tape to affected area, apply pressure, then rip off
  13. referring to the first plant pictured in the newest set of photos, there is a chance that it appears to have the possibility of a cristate or monstrose growth habit only because the green part of the plant is growing faster and fatter than the rest of the plant
